The helper give him just 28 points for his career during the postseason in 122 games, so we wouldn't expect much from him moving forward. That said, he played nearly 33 minutes with five blocks which is much more in line with his type of production. Apr 22 - 2:12 AM

Niklas Hjalmarsson just wants to move on from Saturday's 4-0 loss to Dallas.

"I don’t think we’ve had too many of these games this year," Hjalmarsson said. "What I can remember, the Minnesota game in Minnesota (a 3-0 loss on Feb. 3) was probably similar to this one, but I think we can count those kind of games on one hand for us this season so far. I think it’s like that for every team. You have at least four or five games like that in an 82-game season. That was just one of those and we’ve just got to move on." Niklas Hjalmarsson is expected to try to do more offensively going forward.

Hjalmarsson had four goals and a career-high 26 points in 81 games in 2013-14. If he does manage to top that in 2013-14, it probably won't be by much. He's known more for his defensive contributions though and it's his work without the puck that's made him one of the Blackhawks' most valuable blueliners.
