Coach Lindy Ruff doesn't plan to split up the top pairing of Alex Goligoski and John Klingberg.

Even though Goligoski and Klingberg both posted plus-4 ratings on Tuesday versus Winnipeg, they were on the ice for plenty of scoring chances against. Still, Ruff likes the way they have played together and they have established some chemistry. Goligoski has two assists in his last two games and 22 points on the season.

The Dallas Stars want to get off to a fast start this season.

"A big start is huge, but it's more than one game or even one month," said defenseman Alex Goligoski said. "It's building good things game to game, and then winning games because we're doing good things, because we're playing the right way. And then, just doing that the rest of the season and getting better because of it." The Stars have no issues scoring goals, but they struggle when it comes to keeping them out of their own net. Dallas has the talent to make the playoffs, but a good start would go a long way in solidifying their spot among the Western Conference's top eight teams.
