Tyler Kennedy and Michael Grabner are once again healthy scratches for Game 7 Monday night in Washington.
The Islanders elected to keep the same lineup from Saturday’s Game 6 win over the Caps, which means Kennedy and Grabner are both in the press box again. Kennedy played in Games 3, 4, and 5 but was unable to produce any points and Grabner only played in Games 1 and 2, where he was able to tally an assist. Eric Boulton will also be a healthy scratch for Game 7. Apr 27 - 8:12 PM

Date:

Tyler Kennedy will indeed play Game Four against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night.

While Kennedy has put up 86 goals and 199 points in 477 career regular season games, including two goals and five points in 13 games with the Islanders, he's managed to put up 12 goals and 27 points in 77 career playoff games as well.
Apr 21 - 7:05 PM

Tyler Kennedy will be a healthy scratch for Wednesday’s Game 1 against the Capitals.

Kennedy had been seeing regular ice time in the Islanders lineup but will give way to Michael Grabner for Game 1 in Washington. Kennedy skated in 13 games with the Islanders since being traded from the Sharks earlier in the year and was only able to score two goals with three assists. Look for him to crack the lineup if the Isles don’t get off to the start they want to in the first game or two against the Caps.
Apr 15 - 5:14 PM

Tyler Kennedy will tag in for Frans Nielsen against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night.

Nielsen is still dealing with a nagging undisclosed injury. Through 11 games with the Islanders, Kennedy has produced just four points and seven hits. He's expected to skate to the right of Eric Boulton and Casey Cizikas on the fourth line.
Apr 10 - 6:02 PM

Tyler Kennedy, Michael Grabner, and Calvin de Haan will each be scratched against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night.

Kennedy will miss his second straight game, but he's produced nicely with the Isles in a supportive role. He's posted two goals, four points, and seven hits in 10 games. Grabner meanwhile will sit for his eighth straight, having posted just seven goals, 12 points, and 59 hits over just 31 games this season. Finally, de Haan will be seated for his fourth straight. Easily the most fantasy valuable of the bunch, de Haan has posted 12 points, 130 blocks, and 136 hits over 64 games this season.
Apr 4 - 5:52 PM

Tyler Kennedy scored a goal in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators.

The Islanders were shut out until Kennedy beat Senators' goalie Andrew Hammond at the 11:59 mark of the third period. The goal cut the Sens' lead to 2-1. Lubomir Visnovsky and Nikolay Kulemin registered the assists on the New York's only goal. Kennedy now has three points in his last three contests. The 28-year-old won't ever be confused with an offensive force. He has six goals and 12 points in 28 games this season.
Mar 13 - 10:03 PM

Tyler Kennedy will get back into the lineup on Monday night.

He had an upper-body injury after he was acquired from San Jose, so he missed the last three games. This will mark his first game with the Islanders and Colin McDonald will be scratched.
Mar 9 - 12:16 PM

Tyler Kennedy (upper body) is expected to rejoin the Islanders in Florida on Saturday.

Kennedy left the team briefly so that he could be evaluated. It's not clear yet if he'll be available for Saturday's contest against the Panthers.
Mar 6 - 11:23 AM

Tyler Kennedy will not make his NY Islanders debut on Tuesday night versus Dallas due to an undisclosed upper body injury.

Kael Mouillierat will tag in for the injured Kennedy. Mouillierat has had a nice start to his NHL career, through five games he has two points, seven hits, and eight penalty minutes while averaging 9:04 of ice time.
Mar 3 - 8:13 PM

The New York Islanders have acquired Tyler Kennedy from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a conditional third-round draft pick.

Kennedy has four goals and nine points in 25 games in 2014-15. He'll help bolster the Islanders' bottom-six forward group ahead of what New York hopes will be a lengthy playoff run. It's a helpful pickup for the Islanders, but Kennedy still isn't likely to have much fantasy value in standard leagues.
Mar 2 - 1:20 PM

Tyler Kennedy, John Scott, and Mirco Mueller will be scratched on Saturday night against the San Jose Sharks.

Kennedy has had a nice season as a bottom-six forward with four goals, nine points, and 37 hits through 25 games this season. Scott meanwhile has 46 PIMs in the same 25 games this season. Finally, given San Jose's dire playoff situation, it seems unlikely the nearly 20 year old Mueller will see much more time on the blue line the rest of thew way.

Feb 5 - 10:30 AM

Tyler Kennedy will return to the Sharks lineup in Monday's contest with the Oilers.

Kennedy will be appearing in just his 19th game of the season as he's been out multiples times due to various injuries. He has seven points in 18 games this year and is not worth of a fantasy spot. Kennedy will replace Tye McGinn, who suffered an upper body injury Saturday's game against the Blackhawks.
Feb 2 - 8:48 PM

Tyler Kennedy (lower body) skated for the first time on Saturday.

The 28-year-old has missed a total of 32 games with various injuries, and he has sat out the Sharks' last two games because of this injury. He has four goals and seven points in 18 games this season.
