Clutterbuck was injured when he missed on a breakaway against the Panthers and defenseman Erik Gudbranson hit him, forcing Clutterbuck to miss the rest of the game. Consider him day-to-day for now. He has a goal and an assist in 16 games.

Clutterbuck's goal stood to be the game winner in a 3-2 win for the Islanders at the TD Garden. Clutterbuck now has two points and 12 penalty minutes on the year. Kyle Okposo and Frans Nielson also scored for New York.

Cal Clutterbuck was forced to leave Tuesday's contest against the Maple Leafs after suffering an apparent charley horse.

Clutterbuck seemed to get inadvertently clipped by Toronto's Tyler Bozak, whose knee made contact with the Islander's thigh. The former member of the Wild was an effective pest early in the contest and will be missed by his teammates if he's unable to return to the game.

The right winger also was a plus-3 on the night, as was teammate Scott Mayfield, who scored a goal, as well. Other goal producers for the Isles were T.J. Brennan, Cory Conacher and Kyle Okposo. Okposo also had an assist. Boston scorers were Matt Bartkowski, Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand. In the nets, Boston's Jeremy Smith allowed three goals on 18 shots and Niklas Svedberg allowed a goal on seven shots, while the Isles' Kevin Poulin saved 26 of the 29 shots he faced.
