The Canucks have lost nine consecutive games. Clutterbuck's goal was his second of the season. Andrew Ladd cemented the victory at 10:50 of the third period with his first goal of the season. Also scoring for the Isles were Jason Chimera (first) and Nikolay Kulemin (first). Brock Nelson had his seventh assist of the season on Chimera's goal. John Tavares drew his sixth assist of the season on Kulemin's goal.

Unfortunately for the Islanders, the Rangers managed to jump back ahead and they never looked back. Clutterbuck finished the game with a plus-2 rating, two shots on goal, five hits and a blocked shot in 14:53 of ice time. Clutterbuck is a great energy player, but his fantasy contributions will be minimal this season.
