Lundin had missed the past eight games with the head injury, although his return is unlikely to affect many fantasy lineups. Lundin finished Thursday's game with three blocked shots and an even rating. Mar 22 - 2:20 AM

Mike Lundin (concussion) is projected to come off injured reserve and into Ottawa's lineup Thursday if it is deemed that Marc Methot cannot play.

Methot hasn't been ruled out for Thursday's contest yet. Lundin has missed the past eight games with a concussion.
Mar 21 - 11:09 AM

Mike Lundin is getting close to returning to Ottawa's lineup from a concussion.

"Whether (Lundin) is ready to play, we'll decide end of day (Friday)," said coach Paul MacLean. "He continues to make progress and passed a line test." He practiced Thursday and hasn't played since Mar. 2.
Mar 15 - 8:27 AM

Mike Lundin (concussion) returned to practice Tuesday.

He wore a "no contact" sweater though and there's no timetable for his return. He has been receiving some good support, which is often an overlooked part of the recovery process. "It's a terrible thing to have a brain injury," Lundin said. "The guys who have been through it are the guys checking on me, because they know how horrible it can be."
Mar 13 - 7:31 AM

Mike Lundin has a concussion as a result of the hit he received from Philadelphia's Harry Zolnierczyk, according to Senators coach Paul MacLean.

That's unfortunately not surprising given that it looked like Zolnierczyk's elbow or arm connected with Lundin's head with enough force to snap his neck back. It's hard to put a timetable on a concussion, so we don't expect Ottawa to provide one.
Mar 2 - 3:20 PM

Mike Lundin left Saturday's game after he received a high hit from Harry Zolnierczyk.

This is just speculation at this point, but it looked like Zolnierczyk's elbow connected with Lundin's head with enough force for Lundin's neck to snap back. The Senators defenseman went down and was eventually helped to the dressing room.
Mar 2 - 2:27 PM

Mike Lundin was a late scratch for the Senators Saturday night due to the flu.

Even when he's back in the lineup, don't expect much help in the fantasy department as he's just a stay-at-home blueliner.
Feb 24 - 11:43 AM

Mike Lundin made his season and Senators debut Thursday.

Ottawa Sun writer Bruce Garrioch gave him the team's "thumbs up" for the game. Lundin played 19:24 and had three shots on goal. Don't expect much help in the fantasy department as he's just a stay-at-home blueliner.

Mike Lundin (finger) will make his Senators' debut on Thursday.

Lundin missed Ottawa's first 10 games after breaking his finger during the lockout. He's not expected to have any fantasy value in standard leagues.
Feb 7 - 11:59 AM

Mike Lundin (finger) practiced with his Ottawa teammates on Wednesday and doctors have cleared him to play.

The Senators have eight healthy defensemen on the roster vying for six spots now. "It's a nice puzzle to have," said coach Paul MacLean. "Right now, we're going to keep eight, but we know we can't keep that number (for long). We have to make a decision down the road, but right now, we're going to let Lundin get some legs underneath him."
Feb 7 - 9:15 AM

Mike Lundin (finger) could resume practices with his Ottawa teammates later this week.

He suffered a broken finger while playing in Sweden during the lockout, but is getting close to being able to make his Senators debut. "He's getting very close," coach Paul MacLean said. "He's meeting with the doctors (Tuesday) night, having a discussion. He's skating and skating well."
Feb 6 - 11:53 AM

Mike Lundin could miss three to four weeks with a broken finger.

He suffered the injury to his hand in December and it looks like he'll miss the start of 2012-13's shortened season.
Jan 8 - 1:49 PM

Mike Lundin suffered a hand injury prior to Christmas and he isn't expected to be ready in time for the start of training camp.

The Senators signed him to a one-year, $1.15 contract last July to serve as a bottom-pairing defenseman. Lundin skated in seven games with Almtuna in Sweden's second tier division, where he had four assists and a minus-2 rating. He doesn't have any fantasy value, but his absence as well as Jared Cowen's, who is out for the year following hip surgery, should open up some competition for spots on the back end at camp. However, it doesn't appear as though he will be sidelined for very long.
Jan 7 - 1:46 PM

Ottawa defenseman Mike Lundin signed a contract with the Swedish team Almtuna IS.

It is a second division team but Lundin needs to play as he missed a good chunk of playing time in 2011-12 due to an assortment of injuries including a sports hernia and a strained back.

Mike Lundin has signed a one-year, $1.15 contract with the Senators.

Well that could be the end of Filip Kuba's tenure in Ottawa. Lundin will be a fifth or sixth defenseman for the Sens in 2012-13 and accordingly has no fantasy value.
