Torrey Mitchell found the back of the net in Montreal's 4-3 loss to Florida on Saturday night.
Mitchell's goal gave the Canadiens a 3-0 lead in the second period, but the Panthers responded with four straight goals in regulation to steal the win. He's now scored a goal in back-to-back. "We were up 3-0 and feeling good about ourselves and we gave up three avoidable goals," Mitchell said. "We jumped out to a quick lead and then fell back on our heels." Apr 3 - 10:10 AM

Torrey Mitchell scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory versus New Jersey on Wednesday night.

Paul Byron made the play when he picked off a pass in his own end on the penalty kill. "I think Paulie fooled the goaltender and he almost fooled me," said Mitchell. "I think (Cory Schneider) was expecting him to shoot and that allowed him to find me for a tap-in on the backdoor." Mitchell has six goals and 11 points in 31 games.

Torrey Mitchell will return to Montreal's lineup on Tuesday as their fourth line center.

Sven Andrighetto and Brian Flynn will flank Mitchell who has 10 points, 22 PIMs, and 26 hits over 20 games so far this season.

Torrey Mitchell (lower body) will probably return Tuesday night.

He centered the fourth line during Monday's practice between Daniel Carr and Sven Andrighetto. That left Charles Hudon as the odd-man out. Coach Michel Therrien is hoping to have Mitchell back and it looks like that will happen.

Torrey Mitchell (lower body) is projected to return next week.

He has missed the last six games with a lower-body injury. Mitchell has provided some depth scoring for the Canadiens this season with five goals and 10 points in 20 contests.

Torrey Mitchell is expected to start skating within the next few days.

Mitchell is also expected to miss at least another week or so, so it would appear he's nearly on schedule if not dead on. The near 31-year-old has 10 points and 22 PIMs in 20 games so far this season.

Torrey Mitchell is day-to-day with a lower body injury he suffered in Thursday's match with Arizona.

Mitchell played just 8:56 in Thursday's contest and did not factor into the score sheet. Through 20 games this season, he has five goals and 10 points and he has supplied the supplementary scoring Montreal was looking for out of him.

Torrey Mitchell will stay on a line with Alex Galchenyuk and Lars Eller for Thursday's game after he skated with them during Wednesday's practice.

Mitchell saw time on the second line this past Monday after Alexander Semin was benched. He has generated five goals and five assists in 19 games this season.

Torrey Mitchell picked up his fifth goal of the season of a brilliant individual effort on Thursday night, unfortunately Montreal would fall to Edmonton 4-3.

After Montreal and Edmonton played a bit of knock-hockey by the Oilers' bench, Mitchell came away with the puck and darted in toward Cam Talbot. A wrister through a screen later, and Mitchell now has points in four of his last six games.

Torrey Mitchell scored the lone goal for Montreal in a 5-1 loss to Vancouver on Tuesday.

Mitchell deflected a point shot from Alexei Emelin for this fourth goal of the year. He has three goals in his last four games and is having a nice a little run to start the season. With four goals in ten games, he is well on his way to surpass his career high 14 goals he had with the Sharks back in the 2011-12 season. We still don't think he is a worth a pick up in standard fantasy formats.

Torrey Mitchell scored his first goal of the season Sunday in a 3-1 win over Ottawa.

He got his stick on a shot by P.K. Subban early in the third period. Andrei Markov also picked up an assist on the goal. Mitchell has 16 penalty minutes in his first three games, but that's not something you should come to expect from him. He reached 50 PIMs in his rookie year, but he hasn't spent much time in the sin bin during his career since then.
