Cal O'Reilly has signed a two-year deal with the Buffalo Sabres for $700,000 per season.

He'll join his younger brother Ryan in the Queen City. O'Reilly was waived by the Canucks before the start of the 2014 season and had 10 goals and 61 points in 76 games with Utica of the AHL. Look for O'Reilly to be a bottom six forward for the Sabres if he can crack the lineup.

The Vancouver Canucks have placed Cal O'Reilly on waivers.

The Canucks hope that O'Reilly passes through waivers so they can send him to the minors. He should remain in the minors for most, if not all, of the season.

Cal O'Reilly has agreed to terms with the Vancouver Canucks.

O'Reilly had seven goals and 45 points in 52 AHL games in 2013-14. He's a depth forward, but one that might get called up in the event of an injury.

With a start-studded lineup featuring NHLers Evgeni Malkin, Sergei Gonchar and Nikolai Kulimen Metallurg Magnitorgorsk defeated Slovan Bratislava 3-2 in KHL action Saturday.

Surprisingly, it was former Penguin and Predator Cal O'Reilly who was the offensive catalyst in the victory. He registered two assists including one on the game winning marker. Former NHL defenseman Oleg Tverdovsky also plays for Magnitogorsk. Former Sabre Miroslav Satan registered an assist on one of Bratislava's goals.

The Penguins are hoping that the acquisition of Cal O'Reilly will help replenish their depleted position at center.

With Sidney Crosby and Jordan Staal out with long-term injuries, Pittsburgh was in need of some additional depth down the middle. That's why they jumped at the opportunity to claim O'Reilly off re-entry waivers from Phoenix on Wednesday. "He's got skill, playmaking ability at, really, a high level," coach Dan Bylsma said. "He can make plays, make great passes, sees the ice really well. That's some of the attraction of getting a guy through the middle, where we're not very strong or deep right now."

Cal O'Reilly did in fact make his Coyote debut Saturday night against the Oilers.

He was dealing with a groin injury when he was acquired from the Predators over a week ago. From a personal perspective it was not a successful game for O'Reilly as he was a minus two with no shots on goal in 13 minutes of playing time. He is likely to be limited to third line duty in Phoenix.

Cal O'Reilly (groin) is expected to make his Phoenix Coyotes debut on Saturday.

O'Reilly was acquired from Nashville over a week ago, but the groin injury has kept him out of the Phoenix lineup the last three games. He has one assist in five games this season and is not worth picking up at this time.

The Nashville Predators have sent Cal O’Reilly to the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for a 2012 fourth round pick.

O’Reilly had an assist in five games with the Predators this season. He wasn't getting much playing time in Nashville and his situation was only likely to get worse with Mike Fisher's return from a shoulder injury. He might get a bit more playing time in Phoenix, but we don't expect him to have much fantasy value.

Cal O'Reilly missed Thursday's game with a groin injury.

The good news is that the game off seems to have been great for O'Reilly who could return to the lineup on Saturday. "It wasn’t pulled or anything, so it healed pretty quick and feels a lot better," O’Reilly said of the injury that occurred over a week ago. He had six goals and 18 points in 38 games last season so his fantasy value is limited.
