Nov 15 - 1:48 PM

Matt Hunwick (concussion) reached a plateau in his efforts to return from a concussion and will stay off the ice for a few days.

Hunwick has missed the last 12 games and it looks like it will be a while longer for the blueliner to return to action. "He's been having a tough time getting over that last hurdle, and so they want to take a little bit of a different approach to try to get him over that last hump," coach Mike Sullivan said. "The last hurdle is medical clearance. He's been going through this process. The medical staff has been monitoring. Our team doctors have been monitoring. He hasn't been medically cleared yet to participate in games. Until that last hurdle, until he overcomes that, that's where he's at in the process."
