Liam Reddox has five assists in 10 games since being called up by the Edmonton Oilers on January 3rd.

Edmonton promoted Reddox because a number of their forwards were battling injuries, but Reddox is making it hard for the Oilers to send him down. His fantasy value is limited at this time, but he might find a way to earn a permanent spot on the Oilers' roster.

There's a good chance that another team would take Liam Reddox if the Oilers attempt to put him on waivers.

Reddox would only make $550,000 in the NHL this season and he can play as either a center or a winger. That might be incentive enough for the Oilers' to include Reddox in their opening day roster. He doesn't have any fantasy value, but he should be a solid depth player for the Oilers.

Liam Reddox is hopeful that he will be able to snag a roster spot on the Oilers this season after spending the majority of 2009-10 in the minors.

"With them making a lot of changes throughout the summer, it's definitely exciting and I hope to be one of the guys who makes the roster this year," Reddox said. "Last year was definitely disappointing. I had pretty high expectations for myself coming into the year, having played pretty much most of the previous year up here. Coming into training camp last year things just didn't work out. They had plenty of forwards up here last year and I didn't fit into the mix." He has since become a center after playing left wing in the past and that versatility could help him in the long run, but Reddox should not be on your fantasy radar at this time.
