With trades and injuries, Adam Pardy who started the season as the Sabres' ninth defenseman, is now playing in the top four.
Thats' not a good thing if you are a Buffalo supporter. The trades of Jordan Leopold, T.J. Brennan and Robyn Regehr and the injuries to Tyler Myers and Andrew Sulzer have elevated Pardy on the Sabres' depth chart. It won't be pretty in chicken wing town for the last two weeks of the season. Apr 13 - 9:29 AM

Date:

Adam Pardy has been brought up by the Sabres.

The trade that sent Robyn Regehr to Los Angeles on Monday night opened up a spot for Pardy. He has suited up in only five NHL games so far this campaign, but with six defensemen on the roster Pardy should get more action.
Apr 2 - 7:47 AM

Don't expect Adam Pardy to get a great deal of playing opportunities.

He was once again a healthy scratch Thursday against New Jersey and seems to be at best a 7th defenseman option for Buffalo coach Ron Rolston. Pardy shouldn't be a roster consideration in any hockey pool.
Mar 9 - 8:19 AM

Adam Pardy is expected to play Tuesday night and to be up with the Sabres for the foreseeable future.

His only other game of the season came on Feb. 5 against Ottawa when he had an assist and two shots in 18:25 of ice time. Pardy had to return to the minors once Christian Ehrhoff was able to return to the fold, but now he's back up with the team with Alexander Sulzer on injured reserve and Jordan Leopold not practicing.
Feb 26 - 8:05 AM

Adam Pardy has been called up by the Buffalo Sabres.

Pardy has five points and eight penalty minutes in 11 games this season. He made his Buffalo Sabres debut on Feb. 5.
Feb 25 - 12:39 PM

Adam Pardy was sent back to the AHL on Friday.

He had been called up to provide insurance to a banged-up bluelined. Pardy had an assist and two penalty minutes in the only game he played in. Jordan Leopold and Tyler Myers, who has a league-worst minus-nine rating, have struggled this year, so Pardy could be back soon if the Sabres want to send a message.
Feb 8 - 7:35 PM

Adam Pardy was a healthy scratch Thursday night against the Canadiens.

Pardy sat despite a successful debut Tuesday and his ice time could be further limited by the impending returns of Andrej Sekera (lower body) and Robin Regehr (lower body). Until he garners a regular shift, he should be left on the waiver wire in almost all formats.
Feb 8 - 8:39 AM

Adam Pardy enjoyed a successful Buffalo debut Tuesday night.

He picked up an assist, two shots, two penalty minutes, three hits and two blocked shots during his 18:25 of ice time. Pardy is the middle of a crowded mix on Buffalo's blueline so his roster spot isn't secure, but nights like that should go a long way to helping him earn some recognition.
Feb 6 - 10:07 AM

Adam Pardy will make his Buffalo Sabres debut on Tuesday.

Pardy had a goal and three assists in five AHL games. He will play alongside Tyler Myers. "Two big guys out there, so hopefully we can cover a lot of ice and just shut down defensively and get the job done," Pardy, who is 6-foot-4 but still significantly shorter than Myers, said. "It was nice to play those games down there and just play a lot of minutes and play a lot of situations. It’s really helped to get that mental stability back to be able to come back and play a game."
Feb 5 - 4:20 PM

Adam Pardy has been recalled by the Buffalo Sabres.

He was brought up on Monday and could be in the lineup for Tuesday's match in Ottawa. It's not clear who he might be replacing, but there's speculation that it could be Christian Ehrhoff after he missed Monday's practice. Pardy recorded one goal, three points and a plus-3 rating in five games with Rochester after he was sent down to the minors following training camp.
Feb 5 - 8:18 AM

Adam Pardy has been waived by the Buffalo Sabres.

Pardy had three points in 36 AHL games in 2011-12. He comes with a $2 million cap hit, so he probably won't be claimed.
Jan 17 - 12:49 PM

Adam Pardy has joined a crowded cast of defensemen in Buffalo going into next season.

The team's top six group includes Tyler Myers, Christian Ehrhoff, Jordan Leopold, Andrej Sekera, Robyn Regehr and Alexander Sulzer. Players like Mike Weber, Brayden McNabb and T.J. Brennan are listed as likely reserves along with Pardy. The Sabres want to add help at center, so a trade involving a blueliner could be something to watch for once the free agent signing frenzy is over.

The Buffalo Sabres have acquired Adam Pardy from the Dallas Stars.

He's being shipped as part of the Derek Roy deal. Pardy had three points in 36 games in 2011-12. He's not expected to have much more fantasy value next season.

He won't get back into the lineup on Thursday, but he enjoyed a solid conditioning stint in the minors with four assists and a plus-1 rating in two contests.
Thu, Feb 9, 2012 03:07:00 PM

Adam Pardy will report to AHL Texas for a two-game conditioning assignment.

Pardy is healthy, but hasn't played since Jan. 10. He will complete his conditioning stint in time for Dallas' game on Thursday.
