Cody McLeod skated on Colorado's top line during Thursday's practice.

He was alongside Matt Duchene and Ryan O'Reilly during the session. McLeod would add some physicality to the top unit, but he is capable of contributing offensively as well. He played well when he skated with O'Reilly and Gabriel Landeskog last season.

Cody McLeod's suspension length will depend at least somewhat on an in-person meeting with the NHL on Monday, but that gap means he'll at least miss the next two games.

He isn't an impact fantasy player, but it's worth monitoring considering Niklas Kronwall's situation and how this might influence future hits by more meaningful contributors.
