Cody McLeod will tag in for the injured Blake Comeau in Sunday's game with St. Louis.
Through three games so far this season the veteran pugilist has just a fight and three hits to his credit. Unfortunately that's just not enough production even in a reverse league. Nov 6 - 5:11 PM

Date:

Cody McLeod and Eric Gelinas will be scratched against Minnesota on Saturday night.

It's beginning to appear that neither McLeod nor Gelinas have much of a role with the team, as they've combined for just seven games play thus far. Until that changes, we wouldn't expect much from either player.
Nov 5 - 1:31 PM

Cody McLeod and Eric Gelinas will be scratched against Chicago on Thursday night.

After playing in the last four games in place of Fedor Tyutin, Gelinas picked up a helper with four PIMs and little else in that time. McLeod meanwhile hasn't played in two weeks now.
Nov 3 - 7:02 PM

Cody McLeod will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the Nashville Predators.

McLeod has played three games with the Avs this season and has no points and five penalty minutes. This will be his third consecutive game as a healthy scratch.

Nov 1 - 8:57 PM

Cody McLeod and Gabriel Bourque will be scratched against the Coyotes on Saturday night.

Unfortunately it's beginning to look like neither player has much of a role with the team, as McLeod has just three games of action thus far and Bourque has only five.

Oct 29 - 7:27 PM

Cody McLeod and Gabriel Bourque will be scratched against the Jets on Friday night.

Bourque has no points and 14 hits in five games with just under 11 minutes of ice time per game on average. McLeod meanwhile has been relegated mostly to the press box, with just a fight and three hits in his three games of action.
Oct 28 - 6:47 PM

Cody McLeod will get back into the lineup on Tuesday.

He was a healthy scratch for Colorado's first two games of the season, but Ben Smith will be in the press box instead against Washington.
Oct 18 - 5:21 PM

Cody McLeod and Eric Gelinas will be scratched against Columbus on Saturday.

McLeod has been a steady supplier of tough guy stats over the years, and this will be the first game he's missed in two full seasons. In fact he's played a full compliment of games in three of the last four seasons. This could be a sign of things to come for the pugilist, but if you're in a league that values his services, we'd remain patient.
Oct 15 - 7:26 PM

Cody McLeod fought Cody Bass as the Avalanche were eliminated from playoff contention on Tuesday.

McLeod also played just 3:51 with a hit on the score sheet. He's now up 138 PIMs through 80 games.
Apr 6 - 1:43 AM

Cody McLeod registered his eighth goal of 2015-16 in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to Minnesota.

He tied the game at 3-3 going into the third period. McLeod has 12 points and 112 penalty minutes in 65 games this season.

Mar 2 - 9:53 AM

Cody McLeod did a bit of everything during Friday's 5-3 win over Nashville.

A goal, a minor, and four hits means McLeod had points for everyone in fantasy land. Assuming he's on anyone's team, of course. He now has seven goals and 11 points with 80 PIMs this season.
Jan 9 - 12:32 AM

Cody McLeod now has six goals this season.

That's right, the veteran pugilist popped another one during Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to Chicago. With 10 points in 38 games this season, McLeod may well set new highs which currently stand at 15 goals and 20 points over 79 games from 2008-09.

Cody McLeod ranks fifth in the league with 73 penalty minutes in 35 games.

McLeod has been one of the best sources of penalty minutes for years and is coming off of a campaign where he finished second with 191 PIM. This season he's been able to chip in a bit more in other categories as he has five goals, four assists, and a plus-nine rating. If he maintains his current pace and finishes with 20 points then he'd be matching his career-high set in 2008-2009.

Cody McLeod nearly had a Gordie Howe hat trick, but his assist was taken away from Blake Comeau's empty-net marker.

McLeod started the game with a fight with Chris Thorburn and he scored his fifth goal of the season when the puck hit him in front of the net. He also required five-to-six stitches above his left eye during the second intermission after he was clipped by a high stick. McLeod is first in the NHL in penalty minutes with 64 in 21 games.

Cody McLeod picked up his second goal of the season during Thursday's 4-2 loss to Arizona.

After Erik Johnson weaved his way deep into the offensive zone, McLeod was there to scoop up the loose puck after Johnson's attempt was stymied. With a quick release, McLeod picked up the 58th goal of his career. He also threw two hits and took a minor, for all you niche poolies.
