"It's not my decision but I'm fully prepared for when I do come back in the lineup," said Matthias after a full practice Wednesday. "I'm just waiting for that call." There's a chance that he could be back in the lineup as soon as Thursday night and he is itching to return after sitting out 25 games.

He has been out of action since November 1st with a lower-body injury but seems to be on cusp of re-joining the Jets' lineup as he has been practising with his teammates this past week. Look for Matthias to play sometime in the next seven days.

He skated in a non-contact jersey and might be available to play as soon as next week. "We're striving to get back and hopefully we can before the Christmas break," said Matthias referring to himself and fellow injured forward Joel Armia. "I've put myself in position where I think I can get back in sooner than they originally anticipated, but I'm not sure. I've made great strides, I've pushed myself hard and I'm in great shape right now." He has been out of action since Nov. 1.
