Andrew Bodnarchuk (knee) will start the 2014-15 campaign on the injured reserve list.

Bodnarchuk sustained the injury during training camp. He wasn't expected to make the team to begin with and given that he didn't play for Los Angeles in 2013-14, he won't count against Los Angeles' cap while on the injured reserve list.

Bodnarchuk was hurt during Sunday's practice. He wasn't expected to miss the Kings' opening game roster, but this will still deny him the opportunity to play in some preseason games with the Kings.

Bodnarchuk spent the whole season in Manchester where he had eight goals and 32 points with 89 penalty minutes in 73 games.

Just an FYI. Bodnarchuk had 20 points and 77 penalty minutes in 69 games with the AHL Manchester Monarchs. He should remain there for most if not all of the 2013-14 season.

Bodnarchuk had 20 points and 77 penalty minutes in 69 games with the AHL Manchester Monarchs. He's expected to start the 2013-14 campaign in the minors.

Andrew Bodnarchuk has been reassigned to AHL Manchester.

In 39 games with the Monarchs this season, he has posted 12 points and 48 penalty minutes. Bodnarchuk didn't play any games with the Kings while he was up with the team.

The move was made necessary when Matt Greene injured his back on Saturday, an injury that is likely to keep him on the shelf for the remainder of the season. He played five games for the Bruins in 2010 and signed a one-year deal with the Kings in the off-season. He has no fantasy value.

The Bruins may bring him back up depending on what happens during the NHL trade deadline. Bodnarchuk has not suited in any NHL games this season, but he had been serving as the team's seventh defenseman of late.
