The Lightning are expected to have Nate Thompson (cut over right eye) and Pierre-Cedric Labrie (upper body) back in the lineup Tuesday night, so Wyman will head back down after making his season debut on Sunday versus Buffalo.

Presumably, he'll be sent to the AHL if he clears. Teams have been waiving and demoting a number of their players on two-way contracts in preparation for the anticipated lockout.

James Wyman has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Wyman split the 2011-12 season between AHL Norfolk and the Tampa Bay Lightning. He had 12 points in 29 games with Norfolk and another 11 points in 40 contests with the Lightning.

After missing nearly one month with an upper body injury, James Wyman will be in the lineup tonight for host Tampa Bay against Washington.

The ailment forced the 25-year-old Wyman out of a Jan. 5 game at Ottawa and he proceeded to miss nine games. He was called up from Norfolk (AHL) on Dec. 20 and played six games (1 g, 3 pts) before sustaining the injury.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have summoned James Wyman from the AHL.

He has six goals and six assists in 29 games with Norfolk this season. Wyman will travel with the Lightning on their road trip this week that will take them to San Jose on Wednesday and Colorado on Friday.

The Montreal Canadiens have inked James Wyman to a one-year/two-way contract.

Wyman played three games for Montreal in November but was held pointless. The 24-year-old forward had 17 goals and 37 points in 76 games for the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL. It is unlikely that he will crack the Canadiens lineup unless there are a slew of injuries.

The Canadiens have signed James Wyman to a two-year deal.

Wyman was selected in the fourth round of the 2004 draft by Montreal. He has spent the past four years at the University of Dartmouth; notching a career-high 15 goals and 30 points as a senior this season. He will be reassigned to the minors on Thursday.
