James Reimer's (undisclosed) goal is to practice on Friday.
From there Reimer would be available for Saturday's game. Fortunately, the Maple Leafs have a gap in their schedule, so if all goes as planned, Reimer won't miss any playing time. He left Tuesday's practice before its conclusion over what he described as "aches and pains." Nov 25 - 12:58 PM

Updating an earlier item, James Reimer doesn't seem to be very concerned with his undisclosed ailment.

He described the injury as "just some aches and pains." Reimer left Tuesday's practice early after an awkward fall, but it seems like he will be OK. "We'll go over things tomorrow and we'll see where it goes from there," he said. "I'm sure it will all work out."
Nov 24 - 4:04 PM

James Reimer left Tuesday's practice early after an awkward fall during a drill.

He spoke with trainers at the bench before heading to the locker room. "He left the ice — I didn't check," said coach Mike Babcock, who didn't seem to be concerned. "We have a while until our next game. We'll see. I don't know if he overreacted, he underreacted, I don't know nothing about it." The Leafs don't play again until Saturday and an update could come at Wednesday's practice.
Nov 24 - 2:27 PM

Toronto goalie James Reimer made 26 saves in regulation and overtime during the Maple Leafs' 4-3 shootout loss to the visiting Boston Bruins Monday night.

Reimer's record fell to 7-3-4. He was coming off a 2-0 loss to the Bruins Saturday. His goals-against average of 2.07 isn't bad, considering he plays for a poor team. His save percentage is .934. Is he worth choosing for fantasy play? Well, not really. Even though he's been steady lately, Reimer plays for a poor team that will have a tough time winning a lot of games.
Nov 23 - 11:19 PM

James Reimer will get the start in Monday's game against the Boston Bruins.

The 27-year-old has been in nets for 10 of Toronto's last 11 games. He's coming off a 2-0 loss to the Bruins on Saturday. Reimer has a 7-3-3 record with a 2.01 goals-against-average and a .936 save percentage.
Nov 23 - 6:31 PM

James Reimer sticked aside 35 shots in the Maple Leafs’ 2-0 loss to the Bruins on Saturday night.

Can’t fault him for this one. Reimer, of all people, has become a steadying force in net for the Maple Leafs, posting a save percentage of at least .909 in nine consecutive contests. He has a 2.01 GAA and .936 SV% this year.
Nov 21 - 10:45 PM

James Reimer will get the start in Saturday's game against the Boston Bruins.

Reimer is coming off a solid outing against the 'Canes on Friday. The 27-year-old is playing too well to sit, even if it is a back-to-back situation. He has a 7-2-3 record this season and is currently riding a personal five-game winning streak.
Nov 21 - 2:32 PM

James Reimer stopped 33 of 34 shots in Toronto's 2-1 shootout win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

Reimer blanked the Hurricanes through two periods, but gave up a bad goal to Brad Malone in the third period. The Leafs were able to recover, as Nazem Kadri tied the game in the final five minutes of regulation. Reimer allowed one goal on five shootout attempts to help Toronto earn their fifth win in their last six games. The 27-year-old has won each of his last five starts and improves his record to 7-2-3 this season.
Nov 20 - 10:22 PM

James Reimer will be the Toronto Maple Leafs' starter against Carolina on Friday.

Reimer has allowed two or fewer goals in his last six starts. That's led to Toronto winning the last four games he's started in. He has a 2.19 GAA and .930 save percentage in 12 contests, making him the silver lining in what has been a rough start to the campaign for the Maple Leafs.
Nov 20 - 5:43 PM

James Reimer stopped 34 of 35 shots in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche.

Reimer extended his personal winning streak to four games in the process. He's clearly emerged as the go-to option for Mike Babcock and the Leafs. With Jonathan Bernier struggling, Reimer will continue getting the majority of the starts going forward. The 27-year-old has a 6-2-3 record with a 2.19 goals-against-average and a .930 save percentage. He hasn't lost in regulation since Nov. 4 (six games).
Nov 18 - 12:11 AM

James Reimer will face the Avalanche on Tuesday.

Believe it or not, Reimer's been pretty good so far this season. He may have a 5-2-3 record, but he's allowed just 25 goals in 11 games and holds a .925 save percentage thus far. He also hasn't allowed more than a pair of goals in each of his last five starts, and six of his last seven.
Nov 17 - 7:05 PM

James Reimer is the third star of the week for the period ending Nov. 15.

He posted a 3-0-0 record with a 1.62 goals-against average and a .952 save percentage to receive the honor. Reimer closed out his appearances with a 43-save effort against Vancouver. He has a mark of 14-2-2 in 18 career regular-season games when he has made 40 or more saves.
Nov 16 - 6:17 PM

Coach Mike Babcock confirmed that James Reimer would start Tuesday's game against Colorado.

The decision wasn't surprising after Jonathan Bernier was brutal against the Rangers on Sunday night in a 4-3 loss. Reimer on the other hand has been excellent this month with a four wins in seven appearances along with a .945 save percentage and a 1.81 goals-against average.
Nov 16 - 10:58 AM

James Reimer has been outstanding in the last two weeks.

His record improved to 4-1-2 during that stretch and he has a solid .945 save percentage in that time. "I’m always just trying to prove it to myself and to my teammates," Reimer said. "I’m sure if I want to sit back someday and think about what has all transpired (as a Leaf), you have some thoughts, but I have my own expectations. I have to look myself in the mirror. Every day, it’s just about getting better and competing, not so much what other people think about what I can do."
