Avalanche forward Jesse Winchester (concussion) says he feels good.

Winchester missed all of last season after suffering a concussion in a pre-season game against the Calgary Flames. The 31-year-old has now put the injury behind him and is looking to compete for a roster spot. "I had quite a few bumps out there and it felt pretty good," said Winchester. "I'm trying not to think about it," he said. "It's just fun to be out there and battling again and putting yourself in a position to do what you love to do." Whether he makes the team or not, Winchester won't have any fantasy value.
