Flames goaltender Daniel Taylor was solid in Sunday's outing en route to a 4-2 win over the Canucks.

Taylor blocked 29 of 31 shots and delivered with his first career win in the league. All signs point to Miikka Kiprusoff returning to action soon, but Joey MacDonald is also somewhere in the mix for playing time, making Taylor more risky than he should be.

Daniel Taylor allowed four goals on 37 shots in the Flames 4-0 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes.

Taylor got off to a shaky start to his NHL career, allowing his first goal 41 seconds into the game. He settled down until the third period where the team collapsed and the Coyotes scored three times. He's a rookie on a mediocre team so results like these are going to happen. Better to leave him be until he proves himself.
