Corey Potter (shoulder) has been moved to the non-roster injured reserve list.

Potter underwent surgery over the summer and obviously wasn't able to recover in time for the start of the regular season. He had five assists and 21 penalty minutes in 19 games in 2013-14.
Oct 7 - 4:19 PM

Corey Potter has not been cleared for contact as he continues to recover from off-season shoulder surgery.

Potter is skating at this time. The Flames inked him to a deal a couple of weeks ago but he is a depth defenseman at this time and could be sent to the minors as Calgary signed him to a two-way contract. The Michigan native has played 123 career NHL games netting eight goals and 24 assists for 32 points and 53 penalty minutes.

The Calgary Flames have signed 30 year-old defenseman Corey Potter to a one-year, two-way contract.

Potter is a veteran journeyman who played 19 games in the NHL last season with Boston and Edmonton, notching five assists and 21 penalty minutes. The Michigan native has played 123 career NHL games netting eight goals and 24 assists for 32 points and 53 penalty minutes.

Corey Potter (arm) skated before practice on Friday.

Potter suffered an arm injury a week ago when practicing with Daniel Paille. There is no word as to when he will return to action. Potter last saw action in Game 1 of the first round.
May 3 - 7:56 AM

Corey Potter (arm) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice.

Potter probably won't be available for the start of the second round. He hasn't played since April 18.
Apr 30 - 1:38 PM

Corey Potter left Friday's practice with an alleged arm injury.

He needed assistance to the dressing room due to a right shoulder problem after a tussle with Daniel Paille along the boards. Potter is the Bruins' eighth defenseman but he played in Game 1 of the series against the Red Wings as a number of the Boston blueliners were either sick or injured. Potter likely would not have dressed for Game 5 Saturday night even if he were healthy so his loss has no fantasy ramifications.
Apr 26 - 8:50 AM

Corey Potter made his NHL playoff debut on Friday night.

He logged nearly 17 minutes of ice time in the match, which included 1:37 of playing time on the penalty kill. Potter recorded four blocked shots and one shot of his own in Boston's 1-0 loss to Detroit. The 30-year-old rearguard has 123 regular season games of NHL experience under his belt and he was "thankful" that a chance to play in the playoffs finally came.
Apr 19 - 10:10 AM

Corey Potter will probably get some playing time for the Bruins in their final four games.

He may play one or two games depending on how generously Boston chooses to rest their top players. Potter has played in just one contest with the Bruins since he was acquired off waivers from Edmonton in early March.
Apr 8 - 7:45 AM

Corey Potter made his Boston debut in Tuesday's win over New Jersey.

He was claimed off waivers from Edmonton earlier this month and got to play in his first game since Jan. 27. Potter had one shot and a plus-1 rating in 15:09 of ice time. "I was a little rusty at the start," he said. "But the systems here make it very easy for us on the back end. All and all, for not playing in a while, I think it went pretty well for me." He replaced Matt Bartkowski in the lineup.
Mar 19 - 9:08 AM

Don't look for Corey Potter on the Boston blueline Saturday night against Tampa.

The defenseman, who was claimed from Edmonton off waivers on Wednesday, will likely be a healthy scratch for a second consecutive contest as he acclimates himself to his new team.
Mar 8 - 7:09 AM

The Boston Bruins have claimed Corey Potter off of waivers.

The Bruins needed to add some defensive depth given that they're missing Adam McQuaid (leg) and Dennis Seidenberg (knee). Potter isn't expected to have any fantasy value in Boston.
