Jhonas Enroth (leg) may not be ready to return before the end of the season.
"We thought it was something and it wasn't," interim coach Ted Nolan said. "Check another thing and it wasn't that, either. They're just doing evaluations, and we think it was what we originally thought it was – if that answers your question in a roundabout way. We think it's just going to take a little bit longer for him to heal. I wouldn't rule him out totally." Enroth hasn't played since Mar. 16 because of a leg injury. Mar 27 - 2:17 PM

Jhonas Enroth won't travel with the Sabres when they begin a five-game road trip on Tuesday.

The Sabres were tight-lipped about Enroth's suspected leg injury, but it was reported that the ailment wasn't as bad as originally thought.
Mar 17 - 1:19 PM

The Buffalo Sabres lost a game and another one of their goalies Sunday night.

With Michal Neuvirth (lower body) already out, Jhonas Enroth left Sunday's game favoring his right leg following a collision with Montreal's Brendan Gallagher with 3:51 remaining in the second period of what ultimately was a 2-0 victory by the Canadiens. Gallagher was skating up the left side and had just gotten a shot off when he was struck from behind by Buffalo defenseman Jamie McBain and tumbled directly into Enroth. The goalie lay on the ice for several minutes before heading to the locker room. He did not return after sustaining what the Sabres called a lower-body injury. Rookie Nathan Lieuwen was forced into action, stopping all 10 shots he faced in his NHL debut after being called up from AHL Rochester earlier in the day. Before the game, coach Ted Nolan listed Neuvirth as day-to-day and said it was too early to determine whether he'll join the team when it opens a five-game road trip at Calgary on Tuesday.
Mar 16 - 10:10 PM

Jhonas Enroth blocked 34 shots in the Sabres' 4-1 loss to the Islanders on Saturday night.

He allowed three goals in the game, as the last one went in with the net empty. Enroth figures to share time between the pipes with Michal Neuvirth for the rest of the season as the Sabres look to determine if any of them could be counted on as their No. 1 next season. Enroth has a 2.81 goals-against average and .911 save percentage this season.
Mar 15 - 10:00 PM

Jhonas Enroth will get the start against the Islanders Saturday night.

It was speculated that after his 51-save performance Thursday night Michal Neuvirth will get the call, but it will be Enroth instead. Adjust your goaltending rotation accordingly.

Mar 11 - 9:43 PM

Jhonas Enroth will play between the pipes on Tuesday.

Enroth has allowed eight goals in four games since Ryan Miller was traded to the St. Louis Blues. He's got the edge on Michal Neuvirth in the Sabres' battle for the starting gig now that Miller is gone.
Mar 11 - 11:57 AM

Buffalo goaltender Jhonas Enroth turned in a first-rate game Sunday night, making 29 saves, but the Sabres were edged 2-1 by the visiting Chicago Blackhawks.

Enroth has been excellent since the Sabres traded their former first-string goalie, Ryan Miller, last week. He was brilliant Thursday night as he stopped 43 of 44 shots en route to a 3-1 victory for the Sabres over the Lightning. After Sunday's game, Enroth is sporting a GAA of 2.79 and a save percentage of 912.
Mar 9 - 10:25 PM

Jhonas Enroth was a brick wall Thursday night as the Sabres defeated Tampa Bay by a score of 3-1.

Enroth turned aside 43 of 44 shots in the win, with the only blemish being a shorthanded goal in the game's final minutes. His record improves to 4-13-5 while his GAA is 2.82 and his save percentage is .911.
Mar 6 - 10:11 PM

Jhonas Enroth did his best to hold them off, but the Stars managed to defeat Buffalo by a score of 3-2 Monday.

Mar 3 - 10:52 PM

Jhonas Enroth is expected to be in goal for the Sabres on Monday night.

Jaroslav Halak told the media on Sunday that he wasn't playing, so Enroth will get the nod against the Dallas Stars after he made 36 stops in a 4-2 victory over San Jose on Friday.
Mar 3 - 10:32 AM

Jhonas Enroth was spectacular Friday night, making 36 saves on 38 shots to lead Buffalo to a 4-2 win over San Jose.

Enroth improves his record to 3-12-15 this season, and though he might not be getting too much playing time with Jaroslav Halak coming to Buffalo, the 25 year-old has turned in an alright year for the lackluster Sabres.
Feb 28 - 9:41 PM

Jhonas Enroth is projected to be the last minute starter for Buffalo.

Ryan Miller was supposed to start, but the Sabres will scratch him instead. In all likelihood, Miller will be traded in the very near future. Depending on the terms of the trade, Enroth could end up being the Sabres' new starting goaltender.
Feb 28 - 6:32 PM

Buffalo netminder Jhonas Enroth earned an overtime victory in a 5-4 win over the Bruins on Wednesday night.

Enroth earned a rare bit of offensive support as he allowed four goals on 33 shots, but garnered a win nonetheless. His record improves to just 2-12-5 with the victory while his GAA is now 2.94 and his save percentage is .903.
Feb 26 - 10:12 PM

Jhonas Enroth will be between the pipes for Buffalo on Wednesday versus Boston.

Ryan Miller was outstanding in Tuesday's win over Carolina, but he'll get the night off. Enroth has managed to earn only one victory in 20 appearances and 18 starts this season.
