Jhonas Enroth gave up three goals on 29 shots in a 3-0 loss to the Calgary Flames on Wednesday.
The Flames came firing out of the gate, putting two pucks behind Enroth in less than 50 seconds to start the game and then another with less than five minutes remaining in the opening frame. Enroth then settled down, allowing nary a goal in the final two periods. He has only started in goal on the second half of back-to-back games for the Leafs, winning none of his starts. His record drops to 0-3-1, with a 3.94 goals against average and a .872 save percentage. Nov 30 - 11:31 PM

Jhonas Enroth will be in goal of the Maple Leafs on Wednesday night.

He will face the Calgary Flames after Frederik Andersen backstopped Toronto to a 4-2 win over Edmonton on Tuesday night. Enroth is still looking for his first win this season. In five appearances, he has a 0-2-1 record with a 4.21 GAA and an .866 save percentage.
Nov 30 - 6:52 PM

Jhonas Enroth allowed four goals on 30 shots in Wednesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the New Jersey Devils.

The Leafs spotted Enroth a 3-0 lead in the first period, but the Devils managed to score four goals on the Leafs backup in the final two frames. Enroth's record falls to 0-2-1 on the season. He'll enter his next game with a 4.20 goals-against-average and a .866 save percentage.
Nov 24 - 12:20 AM

Jhonas Enroth has been confirmed as Toronto's starting goalie Wednesday night against New Jersey.

Frederik Andersen has played 10 straight games, including Tuesday, so he will get the night off. Adjust your lineup accordingly.
Nov 23 - 5:13 PM

Jhonas Enroth will likely start for the Maple Leafs on Wednesday night.

He was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate. Frederik Andersen played Tuesday in a 2-1 loss to Carolina and he has started 10 consecutive contests. Enroth hasn't seen game action since a relief appearance versus Los Angeles back on Nov. 8.
Nov 23 - 12:57 PM

Look for Jhonas Enroth to play in Saturday's contest against Pittsburgh.

Before that happens, Frederik Andersen is expected to play between the pipes on Friday. Enroth has a 4.40 GAA and .866 save percentage in four games in 2016-17.
Nov 10 - 1:48 PM

Jhonas Enroth allowed five goals on 35 shots in Toronto's 5-1 loss to the New York Islanders on Sunday.

The Leafs unravelled in their sixth period of hockey in just under 24 hours, so the 28-year-old backup was in tough on the road with a young, tired team in front of him. Expect Enroth to eventually improve on his 0-2 record with a 4.05 goals against average and .871 save percentage.
Oct 30 - 9:20 PM

Jhonas Enroth will get the start Sunday evening agianst the Islanders.

Frederik Andersen started and lost 2-1 (although he played very well) to the Canadiens Saturday night, so Enroth will start the second of back-to-back contests in Brooklyn. The game starts at 6:00 pm so make sure Enroth is active.
Oct 30 - 12:04 PM

Jhonas Enroth allowed three goals on 27 shots in Toronto's 3-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild.

Enroth got the start after Frederik Andersen allowed five goals in an OTL to the Jets last night. The Leafs entered the third period with a 2-1 lead, but the Wild were able to score back-to-back goals to win the game. Expect Enroth to continue serving as Andersen's backup.
Oct 21 - 12:03 AM

Jhonas Enroth is expected to make his first start of the season on Thursday at Minnesota.

Frederik Andersen is slated to start his third straight contest on Wednesday, so it makes sense for the Leafs to get his backup some playing time in the second game of a back-to-back situation. Enroth posted a mark of 7-5-1 with Los Angeles last year to go with a 2.17 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage.

Oct 19 - 12:15 PM

Jhonas Enroth stopped 22 of 24 shots in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings.

The Leafs have changed things up in the crease this season and Enroth is part of that. He'll serve as the backup goalie behind Frederik Andersen. The 28-year-old had a 7-5-1 record with a 2.17 goals-against-average and a .922 save percentage with the Kings last season. He'll likely see more starts than he did a year ago, but he won't have any fantasy value.
Oct 7 - 9:52 PM

Jhonas Enroth will play Sunday night against Montreal.

He will split the game with Garret Sparks. The two are battling for the backup position behind starter Frederik Andersen. Enroth certainly has the inside track for the gig.
Oct 2 - 12:23 PM

Jhonas Enroth will represent Team Sweden at the World Cup of Hockey.

Enroth will replace injured Sabres goalie Robin Lehner. The 28-year-old played in 16 games with the Los Angeles Kings last season and had a 7-5-1 record with a 2.17 goals-against-average and a .922 save percentage. Henrik Lundqvist (NY Rangers) and Jacob Markstrom (Vancouver) will be the other two goalies for Sweden.
Aug 26 - 9:57 AM

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed Jhonas Enroth to a one-year, $750,000 contract.

It was reported in July that Enroth would sign with the Maple Leafs, but we hadn't heard anything since. On Monday, the Leafs made the signing official. The Leafs had a clear need for an experienced backup goalie behind starter Frederik Andersen. The 28-year-old had a 7-5-1 record with a 2.17 goals-against-average and a .922 save percentage with Los Angeles in 2015-16.
Aug 22 - 1:38 PM

There hasn't been any news on Jhonas Enroth since it was reported just over a week ago that he was going to sign with Toronto.

His agent declined to comment on the reports and it's been quiet since then. Negotiations with the Leafs could pick up again, though. Toronto wants to add a backup, but they may have moved on to other options.
