Nov 25 - 7:29 AM

Zach Bogosian (lower body) will make his season debut Tuesday night after he was injured during training camp.

"I haven't played a game since April, so obviously a lot of things factor into that," Bogosian said. "Conditioning is one, timing is another. It's just something you try to keep a close eye on those and play the game that's in front of you. You don't try to do too much right away, just keep things simple." Bogosian will be paired with Jake McCabe against Dallas.
Nov 17 - 1:18 PM

Zach Bogosian may be ready to return from a lower-body injury Tuesday night.

"I feel good," Bogosian said after practicing again Monday. "I'm not going to sit here and say I'm in. That's up to coach, but I feel like I'm ready to go. I feel like the last few days has been a step forward, for sure." He has missed the first 17 games of the season because of an injury he sustained early at training camp. Bogosian may have to play on the left side when he gets back into the fold.
Nov 16 - 1:45 PM

Zach Bogosian (lower body) participated in Saturday's morning skate and is getting closer to being able to make his season debut.

"He's practiced quite hard, more than what you've seen to this point," coach Dan Bylsma said. "Definitely, want to see him in more practice but he's definitely going in the right direction. Hopefully, soon." There isn't an exact timetable yet, but we will keep you posted.
Nov 16 - 9:29 AM

Zach Bogosian practiced with his Buffalo teammates on Friday for the first time since the season started.

Bogosian, who has missed the entire campaign with a lower-body injury, was all over the ice at practice on Friday and looked good considering it was the first time he worked out with his teammates this season. Although the two-way rearguard won't play Saturday night against San Jose, he will likely return to action sometime next week. Get ready to activate Bogosian.
Nov 14 - 9:07 AM

Zach Bogosian (lower body) hasn't gotten back on the ice yet for practices.

There's no timetable for his return, but coach Dan Bylsma is keeping a positive outlook. "He's doing well, on progression, building a foundation," said the Sabres bench boss. "There is a date when you will see him. Eventually, you will see it come to fruition. He's not going on the trip with us here. He will be skating back here and has ramped up where he's at. He's in some higher-level stages than three days ago." He has been sidelined with a lower-body injury that he suffered during the opening days of training camp.
Nov 9 - 4:51 PM

Coach Dan Bylsma isn't sure when Zach Bogosian will return from a lower-body injury.

"I don't have a good answer for you," Bylsma said Tuesday. "I know he's increasing his workload on the ice right now, and he's increasing his base on the ice right now. I don't know when he's going to return to full practice." He hasn't played in a game yet this season and hasn't been able to resume practicing either.
Nov 3 - 5:07 PM

Zach Bogosian (lower body) skated for about 15 minutes on Thursday.

"It feels nice to just get back out there and test it out a little bit," said Bogosian, who appeared to have a leg injury. "It's moving in the right direction so I just go day by day. I guess we'll see how things react after a few days of skating." Coach Dan Bylsma is hoping that Bogosian can skate on more of a full-time basis in the next few days. He suffered a setback in his recovery from a lower-body earlier this month that kept him off the ice until Thursday.
Oct 30 - 7:57 AM

Zach Bogosian might be off skates again, at least for a few more days.

Bogosian skated on Wednesday but things did not go as well as hoped. The rugged defenseman is attempting to comeback from a lower-body injury that has sidelined him since the beginning of the season. Of Bogosian's status, Buffalo coach Dan Bylsma had this to say: "He’s continuing to work out, but it’s off the ice. It wasn’t a setback, but his reaction to him being on the ice indicated we needed to take more time." Keep Bogosian on reserve until further notice.
