Despite coming out on the wrong end of a 3-0 shutout Tuesday night, Zach Bogosian offered his fantasy owners some help.
Bogosian led the Sabres with seven shots on goal and also added five hits and two blocked shots in about 27 minutes of ice time. Since joining Buffalo, the former third overall selection has averaged 26:57 in ice time and has been a productive source of PIM, hits and blocks. Mar 3 - 10:56 PM

Zach Bogosian amassed 11 hits in his first game with the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday versus Philadelphia.

He was credited with six hits in 8:03 of ice time during the first period. "You kind of have a few butterflies at the start, and then adrenaline kicks in," Bogosian said. "That's the way I like to play. It felt good to be out there." He also registered two blocks in a game-high 24:49 of playing time, which included 2:46 on the power play. It was a good first impression for the former Jets blueliner even though he didn't get a shot on goal or a point.
Feb 16 - 8:31 AM

Zach Bogosian will make his Sabres' debut against Philadelphia on Sunday.

Bogosian was acquired on Wednesday in the blockbuster deal that sent Evander Kane to the Sabres and Tyler Myers to the Jets. The 24-year-old took part in his first practice with the team on Saturday and he says he is excited to play in his first game on Sunday. "It was good just to get on the ice," Bogosian said. "I hadn't skated, practiced in three or four days because of the travel. It felt good to get out there. I'm looking forward to getting things going tomorrow. It's been a whirlwind but I'm happy things are going the way they are."
Feb 15 - 9:20 AM

Zach Bogosian grew up in Massena, NY so he's excited to play in front of family and friends with the Buffalo Sabres.

"It always felt closest to home," Bogosian said. "Even when I played in Ottawa and Montreal, which are only an hour and a half from my house, to be in Buffalo and New York State, or upstate New York, always felt more comfortable. I look at this as a great opportunity. I'm very, very excited." He's expected to get plenty of power-play time in Buffalo and he is worth watching even though his plus-minus rating will probably suffer.
Feb 13 - 8:36 AM

The Buffalo Sabres have acquired Zach Bogosian as part of the blockbuster Evander Kane deal.

Buffalo lost Tyler Myers in the exchange, so Bogosian will help compensate for that loss. Although he obviously doesn't have the size of Myers, Bogosian is a big, physical defenseman with some offensive upside. At the age of 24, Bogosian still could still get better too. He comes with a $5,142,857 annual cap hit through the 2019-20 campaign.
Feb 11 - 11:58 AM

Zach Bogosian logged just 9:34 of ice time in Saturday's 5-2 loss to Dallas.

He was assessed a pair of slashing penalties in the match and was benched as a result by coach Paul Maurice. "It was just a bad penalty. I let my emotions get the best of me," Bogosian said Sunday. "Sometimes those things happen. And the minute it happens, you wish it didn't happen. I will be better (Monday) night."
Feb 2 - 9:37 AM

Zach Bogosian has been red hot since he returned from injury five games ago.

In the five games since he rejoined the Jets' lineup Bogosian has scored three goals and registered five points. What is even more remarkable about Bogosian's scoring exploits is that he has had virtually no power-play ice time during that span. In other words, his points have been generated in five-on-five situations. Pretty impressive.
Jan 17 - 2:35 PM

Zach Bogosian has scored in consecutive games.

His goal against Los Angeles on Saturday was his first of the season and he scored another versus Anaheim on Sunday. Bogosian has 10 points in 28 contests.
