Michael Del Zotto has topped 23 minutes of ice time in his past two outings.
He has also recorded one goal and two assists in those matches. "He's done a real good job," coach Craig Berube said. "He's very assertive and aggressive. He's checking hard, he's physical. He's moving the puck and he's jumping up in the play." Del Zotto was a healthy scratch 11 times during a 13-game span in December, but now he's playing with confidence. Jan 20 - 6:14 PM

He had a power play assist on Saturday, but not much else. You should look elsewhere for production from the blue line.

Michael Del Zotto was cut on the neck by Danny Briere's skate early in Wednesday's game against Colorado.

"I wanted to take an angle on [Briere]," Del Zotto said. "I don't know if I clipped a skate but went down and he skated away and I felt his blade hit my neck." Del Zotto needed somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 stitches to close the wound. Even still, it wasn't as bad as it could have been and Del Zotto was able to return for the second period.
Jan 1 - 9:21 AM

It's Michael Del Zotto's turn to see some time in the lineup Wednesday night against Colorado.

Del Zotto is filling in for Luke Schenn to the right of Andrew MacDonald, the Flyers' third pairing. His fantasy value is limited with just eight points, 41 blocks, and 50 hits through 24 games.

Defensemen Michael Del Zotto and Carlo Colaiacovo will once again be healthy scratches Monday night.

The Flyers are not inclined to change up their defensive pairings anytime soon, which means Del Zotto and Colaiacovo will remain in the press box for the foreseeable future. Del Zotto hasn't seen game action since December 9th while Colaiacovo's been out since November 19th.

Defensemen Michael Del Zotto and Carlo Colaiacovo will remain healthy scratches Saturday night.

The Flyers will roll out the same set of defensive pairings Saturday night against the Predators, so Del Zotto and Colaiacovo will be in the press box once again. Del Zotto has eight points in 24 games played this year and if he gets back to his 2011-2012 ways, then he has some fantasy upside. Colaiacovo has only played in five games this season, picking up two assists.

Michael Del Zotto isn't happy about his recent lack of playing time.

He has been scratched eighth times in 10 games during the month of December. "Honestly, I don't know what to think. I really don't," Del Zotto said. "Obviously, you're not happy with one game, let alone [six]. So I'm not happy with it. In San Jose [on Dec. 2] I was shocked, disappointed, frustrated, all of those things. All of the above. At first, you get really frustrated and upset, but at the end of the day you have no control over what's going on." In 24 games this year, he has eight points and he's averaged 20:22 of ice time, but coach Craig Berube feels the defenseman's game has "dropped off."

Michael Del Zotto, Carlo Colaiacovo, and Chris VandeVelde will all be healthy scratches Saturday night against Toronto.

If any of the three were of any fantasy value, it'd be Del Zotto who has eight points, 41 hits, and 50 blocks in his 24 games thus far. However he'd only be recommended in deep leagues.

All signs point to Michael Del Zotto being a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against Florida.

"You never want to be sitting out," said Del Zotto. "All I've been told is that we have healthy [defensemen] and it's a coach's decision. All I can do and all I can control is how hard I work every day. That's what I'm doing." The 24-year-old has been a healthy scratch in five of Philadelphia's last seven games.

Michael Del Zotto was expected by some to return to the Philadelphia Flyers against the Carolina Hurricanes, but that ended up not being the case.

"MDZ" seemingly has some offensive potential, yet he's simply in a tough spot in his career and isn't much of a fantasy factor at this point. Naturally, Rotoworld will note if he enjoys a revitalization.

Michael Del Zotto is projected to rejoin the Flyers' lineup on Saturday.

Del Zotto spent two games in the press box. Look for him to play alongside Andrew MacDonald.

Michael Del Zotto will spend Tuesday's game in the press box.

Flyers coach Craig Berube said Del Zotto has done a good job with the Flyers "but the last little while I find that he wasn't moving the puck. He was trying to do too much himself. To me, his defensive play has dropped off a little. I talked to him today about getting back on track, moving the puck, joining the rush not leading the rush, and playing better defense." Del Zotto has two goals and eight points in 22 contests in 2014-15.

Michael Del Zotto will draw in Saturday night against Columbus as Philadelphia will go with seven defensemen.

The Flyers are going with seven blue liners against Columbus, and Coach Berube is not worried about over-taxing his forwards. "We got lots of forwards that can handle minutes," Berube said. The projected lineups have Del Zotto as a swing man, to borrow a term.
