Michael Del Zotto (knee) will return to the Philadelphia Flyers' lineup on Saturday.

According to Sam Carchidi, Michael Del Zotto (LBI) should return within the upcoming week and force a couple of roster maneuvers as well.

The Flyers won't play again until Wednesday mind you, so it may take a couple of days to see this through. But Carchidi believes that Andrew MacDonald may be sent back down to AHL Lehigh Valley while Nick Schultz becomes a regular scratch. Stay tuned.

Michael Del Zotto practiced without a non-contact jersey for the first time on Sunday.

While the offensive defenseman is still considered week-to-week, this is a great sign that he's making progress.

Michael Del Zotto is out four-to-five weeks with a lower-body injury.

What makes this injury particularly rough for Del Zotto is the fact that he was also for the end of 2015-16, so he hasn't played in a regular season game since Feb. 13. It's worth noting that the Flyers were looking to enter the season with some cap issues because Brandon Manning and Scott Laughton were both injured during training camp and consequently can't be sent to the minors for weeks. The Flyers might put Del Zotto on the long-term injured reserve list for some temporary cap relief to address that issue.

The defenseman will line up on the second defense pairing with the Flyers and see some power play time on the second unit. Look for a 25-30 point season and draft him accordingly.

Michael Del Zotto will never get back 100% range of motion from his surgically repaired wrist.

That being said, Del Zotto doesn't feel that it's limiting him on the ice. He should be fine for the start of training camp.
