Roman Josi was removed from Monday's game against Tampa Bay by a concussion spotter, but said afterward that he felt "good."

"I didn't see him coming," Josi said, referring to the hard hit he took from J.T. Brown. "I just saw (Lightning forward Brian) Boyle on the one side. He came around the net. I didn't see him." Coach Peter Laviolette didn't like that his stud defender appeared to take a shot to the head and he hopes that Josi will be fine.

Roman Josi scored a goal and an assist in Friday's 3-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Both points were scored on the man-advantage. Josi was paired with newcomer P.K. Subban and the duo looked good for the most part. He finished the game with a minus-1 rating, five shots on goal and one hit in 27:55 of ice time. He played over three minuets more than the next highest defenseman (Mattias Ekholm).

"I think me and P.K. have similar styles of play," said Josi. "We both like to skate with the puck and join the rush and everything. With Shea, you play with one guy so long, you know all the little things he does, so that's one thing you have to get used to." Subban has also been paired with Mattias Ekholm during the preseason, so it's unclear who will play with who when the regular season begins.

Josi ended up with one goal, nine points and a minus-6 rating in 14 playoff games. In 81 appearances during the regular season, he had 14 goals, 61 points and a minus-3 rating. Josi will use the summer to recover from his ailments.

Nashville's top defensive duo had a surprisingly forgettable night in a game that could have sent their team to the Western Conference Final. Josi finished with a minus-3 rating and four shots in 24:28 of ice time. He posted one goal and nine points in 14 postseason games after recording 61 points in 81 matches during the regular season.

Josi picked up just his second assist and third career point in now 18 playoff games, but he did more than just help put the puck in the net. Over nearly 29 minutes of work, he dished out a trio of hits and blocked four shots as well.

Roman Josi knows the Predators will have to stay out of the penalty box against Anaheim in Round 1 of the playoffs.

"A lot of games, the special teams are a big factor," Josi said. "You want to stay out of the box because that team, their power play is really good." Special teams is also magnified in the playoffs and the Ducks had the best power play in the league during the regular season. Nashville scored 15 more five-on-five goals than the Ducks did this season.

Josi netted the game winner in overtime for his 14th goal of the year. The 25-year-old surpassed the 60-point plateau for the first time in his career. Josi should be a consideration for keeper leagues, as he's proven he can produce at an elite rate.
