There isn't a lick of fantasy value between these three. Larsen has picked up six points along with 16 blocks in 20 games so far this season. Biega meanwhile has posted two points and 47 hits in 19 games. Gaunce has accumulated five points and 80 hits in 48 games.

Philip Larsen is expected to be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

With Bo Horvat and Brandon Sutter out tonight, the Canucks are expected to go with seven defensemen, but Larsen won't be one of them (Alex Biega will). Larsen has also been a scratch in each of Vancouver's last four contests. He has one goal and five assists in 20 games this season.

Philip Larsen scored his first as a Canuck in a 4-1 loss to San Jose on Thursday.

Larsen's goal was his first since he wore an Oilers uniform last season. It was his first game in the Vancouver lineup since early December. He played the least of all Canucks rearguards, totaling 16:38 of ice-time.

Larsen hasn't suited up since Dec. 6th due to an upper body injury. Through 17 games this season he has posted four helpers with 15 blocks.

He was discharged from the hospital Wednesday and was in good spirits, according to coach Willie Desjardins. It's uncertain when he will be ready to return to the lineup, though.

Philip Larsen is "awake and responsive", according to the Vancouver Canucks.

Considering how it looked, this is great news. Larsen has been taken to the hospital for further evaluation. We'll keep you posted on his status as it develops.

After receiving a thunderous hit by Taylor Hall, Philip Larsen was stretchered off the ice.

Larsen played just 6:56 before departing. Hopefully the Canucks were just being cautious, and the next report will be that he's okay. But it did look like Larsen took Hall's shoulder flush to the jaw. Check out the highlight below. We'll keep you posted as his status develops.

Philip Larsen (illness) was activated from the IL on Tuesday November 29.

Larsen played for the first time since Nov. 7. He had no points in 15:39 minutes in his return.
