Myers was injured during Saturday's game against Colorado. "Myers, we’ll take a look at him right now, and he’ll probably be questionable," Sabres coach Ted Nolan said. The 24-year-old averages over 25 minutes of ice time per game. It will be a significant loss if he can't play against the Bruins.

Tyler Myers was a late scratch on Wednesday night against the Jets, and Andre Benoit subbed in for him.

Tyler Myers finished with three shots on goal in the Sabres’ 5-0 loss to the Penguins on Saturday night.

Myers also played 22:54, blocked five shots and finished a minus-one. It’s tough to judge him solely on offensive output on this team. He has one assist and 25 penalty minutes in 12 games this year. Meanwhile, the Sabres have 13 goals in the entire season.
Nov 1 - 10:11 PM

Tyler Myers finished with a team-high five shots on goal in Buffalo’s 4-0 loss to the Bruins on Saturday night.

Of course, we want to see the production on the score sheet, but these are certainly positive steps for the 24-year-old. He now has nine shots over his past two games, and is just a minus-one for the season. Brian Gionta, Matt Moulson and Tyler Ennis all finished with a team-low minus-three rating.

In his recent Insider Trading segment, TSN's Darren Dreger said, "Tyler Myers for the Buffalo Sabres — his name is out there now."

Dreger goes on to note that Detroit and possibly Anaheim may be the likely landing spots for the young veteran defender. Myers will ding the cap at $5.5M the next four seasons after this, however he'll only make $20.5M in real salary during that time. He's also still only 24-years-old.

If you are looking for an under-the-radar bounce-back fantasy pick, consider the Sabres' Tyler Myers.

Myers' play has slipped the past three seasons after a very strong rookie campaign in 2009-10 in which he won the Calder Trophy as the league's top first-year player. However, there are a number of reasons to think Myers can bounce back. First, he played much better under Ted Nolan, who took over the team part-way through last season than he did under Lindy Ruff the past few years. Second, he wil be paired with his friend and fellow Kelowna BC native, Josh Gorges. A return to the 40-point level is certainly not out of the question for Myers in 2014-15.

Tyler Myers isn't concerned with trade rumors.

"My focus throughout the entire summer was to get better for the Buffalo Sabres," he said. "If a moment ever comes that I hear confirmation I'm not a Buffalo Sabre, then the mindset will change. But as of right now, I'm a Sabre and I want to be a Sabre." He expects off-season additions Josh Gorges and Andrej Meszaros to help Buffalo's young defense corps and serve as leaders for the club.
Sep 15 - 10:10 AM

Tyler Myers is happy with the players Buffalo brought in over the summer.

The Sabres added 35-year-old Brian Gionta and 30-year-old Josh Gorges among others. "The type of guys we got, it's very exciting for us," Myers said. "It was a busy summer for us. Not only the type of players they are, but the veteran presence they bring to the room, I think it’s something we needed." Players like Gionta should help guide the Sabres in their rebuilding efforts, but Buffalo is still likely to miss the playoffs by a significant margin.
