Tyler Myers scored his first goal with the Jets on Monday night.

He had two assists in his previous outing and he's topped 20 minutes of ice time in three contests with Winnipeg following his acquisition from Buffalo. Myers doesn't have to everything on the Jets and it appears as though he'll be a good fit on their blueline, especially with Toby Enstrom feeding him for one-timers.
Feb 17 - 8:30 AM

Tyler Myers registered two assists in Saturday's shootout win over Detroit.

This was just Myers' second game since being acquired by the Jets and he paid off in a big way. Myers picked up the primary assists on second period goals from Blake Wheeler and Drew Stafford. Not only did he have two points, but he also had two penalty minutes, four shots and two hits in 22:57 of ice time.
Feb 15 - 12:22 PM

Tyler Myers finished his first game as a Winnipeg Jet with a -1 rating but +1 on the injury front as he hobbled off the ice after blocking a Shea Weber slap shot in the third period.

Myers played 21:23 in his debut after the blockbuster trade earlier this week. There should not be too much concern for his injury, but we'll let you know if it still hampers him before the Jets take on Detroit on Saturday.
Feb 12 - 11:51 PM

As expected, Tyler Myers was paired with Toby Enstrom during Winnipeg's morning skate.

He is slated to make his Winnipeg debut on the team's top defense pairing. It will be interesting to see how the Jets use Myers during power-play situations because he may have to settle for second-unit duty like Zach Bogosian did.
Feb 12 - 1:14 PM

Tyler Myers has been traded to Winnipeg in a blockbuster deal involving Evander Kane.

The Jets also moved defenseman Zach Bogosian in the trade, so Myers will probably step into his spot alongside Toby Enstrom. Myers won the Calder Trophy in 2009-10, but his play has dropped off each year every since. He has four goals, 13 points and a minus-15 rating in 47 games this season.
Feb 11 - 12:20 PM

Tyler Myers scored the lone Buffalo goal in a 2-1 loss to the Senators Tuesday.

Myers has now registered four goals on the season, but hasn't really come close to enjoying the bounce back campaign some had expected. Matt Moulson and Chris Stewart drew helpers on the Buffalo tally.
Feb 10 - 10:17 PM

There was talk in a number of media outlets on Friday that the Sabres were in very serious talks with the Anaheim Ducks regarding a trade involving Tyler Myers.

The rumor is that the Ducks would be sending Cam Fowler to Buffalo for Myers. We are not sure how much truth there is to these reports but it is worth keeping an eye on. Needless to say, if Myers were to be moved to Anaheim, his fantasy value would increase considerably.
Feb 7 - 9:38 AM

Buffalo Sabres coach Ted Nolan is pushing for the team to keep Tyler Myers.

Buffalo could get a good sum for Myers on the trade market, but of course there's a reason for that. "He's one of the bright spots on this team," Nolan said Tuesday. "When you go through a rebuilding and restocking of the organization, some of the pieces you keep and you surround them. Tyler Myers is one of those guys you build your team around. Very rarely do you see a 6-foot-8 guy who can skate like a 5-foot-8 guy. He's been tremendous for us all season long." Myers hasn't been nearly as appealing in standard fantasy leagues though. He has 10 points and 53 penalty minutes in 42 contests.
Feb 3 - 5:31 PM

Anaheim Ducks GM Bob Murray and Buffalo Sabres GM Tim Murray have held "regular talks" about Tyler Myers.

Myers is perhaps the biggest trade chip out there on the market this season, and you better believe Tim Murray wants at least three quality pieces in return for the 25 year old defenseman. Myers dings the cap at $5.5M through 2018-19, but will only cost $15.5M in salary during that time. The Ducks have $5.44M left under the cap with Eric Brewer, Sheldon Souray, and Francois Beauchemin coming off the books next season.
Feb 1 - 6:24 PM

Tyler Myers popped his second goal of the season in Buffalo's 3-2 loss to Edmonton on Thursday night.

After Torrey Mitchell dug the puck out from behind the offensive net, he attempted a wrap-around and the puck instead was deflected out towards Tyler Myers at the point. Myers' aim was true as his went top shelf past Ben Scrivens to make it 1-0 Sabres just 2:22 into the game. He finished the game with a hit, a two minute minor, and seven blocks through 21:33, along with his second goal and tenth point of the season through 41 games.
Jan 30 - 1:28 AM

Buffalo utilized Tyler Myers in front of the net during Wednesday's practice on the power play.

"If you look at success of [Zdeno] Chara in front of the net on the Boston power play, he's a big man," said coach Ted Nolan. "You put a big man there, it could draw a little bit more attention than trying to cover him on the point. It takes two guys to cover in front of the net. Maybe that will help spark the power play a little bit." The 6-foot-8, 219-pound defenseman worked hard at deflecting pucks during the session. Myers has one goal and seven assists in 36 games this season.
Jan 14 - 4:46 PM

Tyler Myers (lower body) will return on Tuesday.

Buffalo was on a 10-3-0 run when Myers got hurt and has gone 1-7-1 during his absence. Getting him back should be a significant boost for the Sabres, but at this point their season is all-but lost. He's projected to skate alongside Josh Gorges and his return coupled with Tyson Strachan playing after spending a game as a healthy scratch will likely push Andre Benoit and Andrej Meszaros to the press box.
Jan 5 - 3:16 PM

Tyler Myers (lower body) won't play Friday and Saturday.

He might be ready to join the Sabres during the final three games of next week's road trip. Myers skated before practice on Thursday. He has been sidelined since Dec. 20 with a lower-body injury.
Jan 2 - 8:46 AM

Tyler Myers (lower body) took part in Tuesday's practice.

Myers was wearing a non-contact jersey and won't be back on Wednesday. He might be able to play on Friday or Saturday though.
