Luca Sbisa was a minus-four on Saturday.
He was only slightly worse than defensive partner Kevin Bieksa who was a minus-three. Sbisa has two goals and four points this season and is a minus-seven this season. There is not a good reason to have him on your fantasy squad in traditional pools. Dec 14 - 9:31 AM

He sat out four games with an ankle injury. Sbisa missed Vancouver's visit to Anaheim on Nov. 9, but he'll get to play against his former teammates in Vancouver on Thursday. He's projected to replace Ryan Stanton in the lineup.
Nov 20 - 2:26 PM

Luca Sbisa (ankle) will miss his fourth straight game Wednesday.

He is still nursing an ankle injury, but he could be ready to return on Thursday.
Nov 19 - 6:49 PM

Luca Sbisa (lower body) might be able to return Wednesday.

Nov 18 - 11:21 AM

Luca Sbisa missed Sunday's game against his former Anaheim teammates because of a lower-body injury.

He was injured during Saturday's loss to Los Angeles. Sbisa was acquired from the Ducks as part of the Ryan Kesler deal. He has three points, 28 hits and 24 blocks in 14 games this season with Vancouver.
Nov 10 - 4:18 PM

It was also Sbisa's first point in a Canucks uniform. He doesn't have any fantasy value in standard leagues.
Oct 27 - 9:56 AM

Luca Sbisa was a minus-five on Friday.

Well, that's one sure way to hurt your plus/minus stat as Sbisa went from a plus-two on the season to a minus-three. With no points and four penalty minutes, Sbisa should be a non-factor in your fantasy pool.
Oct 25 - 10:34 AM

Luca Sbisa showed off his stamina Thursday night, leading all skaters with 25:47 in ice time against Calgary.

Sbisa is being counted on to ascend to the next level in Vancouver, and being able to play heavy minutes in all situations will be a requisite. He played 4:24 on the powerplay and 3:35 on the kill, with three blocks.
Sep 26 - 1:46 AM

Luca Sbisa is eager to prove himself with his new club this season.

"I want to prove to myself that I can take the next step and become a good player in this league," said Sbisa, who was acquired from Anaheim in the Ryan Kesler trade. "If I get to play my game, I think I will be a solid top-four guy." According to News1130 Sports, he had a tough off-season because his girlfriend suffered a broken pelvis. Sbisa was plagued by injuries of his own in 2013-14, but he's ready for training camp. He's eligible for restricted free agency at the end of the season, so that could serve as further motivation to have a bounce back year.
Sep 4 - 3:45 PM

The Vancouver Canucks have acquired Luca Sbisa from Anaheim as part of the Ryan Kesler trade.

Sbisa was plagued by injuries in 2013-14 and ended up with just six points and 43 penalty minutes in 30 games as a result. If he can stay healthy, he could record 20-30 points next season. Just keep in mind that Vancouver has something of a defensive logjam after this trade and while the assumption is that they'll address well before the season starts (perhaps by trading Jason Garrison), until they do, his role with the team is a little fuzzy.
Jun 27 - 2:08 PM

Apr 25 - 3:16 PM

Luca Sbisa scored his first goal of the 2013-14 season Saturday in a 5-1 win over Vancouver.

Mar 30 - 2:48 AM

Luca Sbisa (hand) has returned from his conditioning stint in the AHL.

Despite that, Sbisa still isn't likely to play on Tuesday. That's more of a reflection of Mark Fistric's solid play than Sbisa's health. "It isn't like a normal year when he’d be a guy where you'd pencil in right now," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "We're playing pretty good. I think we're pretty good defensively most nights. He's not coming in to get anointed. He's going to have earn a spot there as Mark Fistric earned a spot. Sat out 10 games in a row earlier on in the year [and now] he's earned his place."
Jan 21 - 6:05 PM

Luca Sbisa (hand) will begin a conditioning assignment with AHL Norfolk.

Sbisa will play in two minor league games before rejoining the Anaheim Ducks. He hasn't played since Nov. 22.
