Nikita Filatov netted a goal in Salavat Ufa's 5-1 victory over Donbass.

Filatov has seven goals and 16 points in 27 KHL contests. He's offensively gifted, but hasn't been a fantasy asset yet at the NHL level. At this point, it's not clear if Filatov will ever become a star in North America or if he'll ultimately play out the bulk of his career in the KHL.

Nikita Filatov posted two assists Salavat Yulaev's 5-3 victory over Atlant.

He helped set up both goals by Denis Parshin in the contest. Filatov has generated 13 points in 22 KHL outings.

Nikita Filatov has been dropped to the fourth line on his Salavat UFA team.

Salavat UFA lost 5-2 Tuesday to Amur Khabarovsk and Filatov was held off the scoresheet as well. The 22-year-old was drafted sixth overall in the 2008 Draft and it seems that his career may stagnate in the KHL as he had only one point in his last seven games. He had four goals and 10 points in 18 KHL games heading into Tuesday's action.

Nikita Filatov potted a goal in Salavat Yulaev's 5-2 win over Niznekamsk on Friday.

The winger is really thriving so far in the KHL this season, as he now has three goals and nine points in 12 games.

Senators' winger Nikita Filatov is playing very well for Salvat Yulaev of the KHL at the moment.

In six games the talented winger has scored two goals and registered three assists including one in Saturday's 2-1 win over Avtomobolist. Filatov, who is tied as Salvat's leading scorer, still has a shot at making an impact in the NHL. We will watch him closely to see how he progresses in the KHL while NHL players are locked out.

Nikita Filatov has reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with the KHL's Salavat Yulaev.

Filatov is a restricted free agent in the NHL, but the Ottawa Senators might decide against giving him a qualifying offer. At one point, Filatov was regarded as a superb prospect and while he's still young, he has been a big disappointment at the NHL level.

The Ottawa Senators has confirmed that Nikita Filatov has been loaned to the KHL.

Filatov will spend the rest of the season in the KHL, but the Ottawa Senators will retain his rights. That means that Ottawa will give him a qualifying offer. Senators GM Bryan Murray suggested that Filatov wanted to play in Russia as opposed to the minors for financial reasons. He had just one point in nine games with Ottawa this season.

Nikita Filatov will reportedly leave the Ottawa Senators and finish the season in the KHL.

Filatov hasn't been able to establish himself as a top-six forward with the Ottawa Senators. Ottawa will still hold onto his NHL rights. Filatov has just 14 career points after being selected with the sixth overall pick in 2008. He has a lot of offensive potential and, despite his struggles, he's still just 21 years old. However, we can't recommend drafting him next season in standard leagues, even as a late round sleeper pick.

Senators coach Paul MacLean is in no rush to put Nikita Filatov back into the Senators' lineup.

Filatov has been a huge disappointment this season, but it's hardly the first time that he's failed to live up to expectations. The silver lining is that Filatov is just 21 years old, so while there are many that are already writing off Filatov, it's premature. Don't expect anything from him this season, but don't take your eye off him either. We could be talking about Filatov as a breakout player in a couple of years.

Nikita Filatov (nose) is healthy enough to play, but he won't Monday.

Filatov has just one point in seven games this season. His potential makes him worth keeping an eye on, but we wouldn't count on him having any fantasy value in the near future.

Nikita Filatov was scratched from the lineup Saturday to make way for Chris Neil, who returned after missing nine games with an ankle injury.

Filatov hasn’t yet scored a goal for the Senators – in either regular-season or pre-season games – and has just one assist, which he got in the first game of the year against Detroit. "I think (Filatov) has done exactly what (he’s supposed to do)," said head coach MacLean "He’s been good with the puck, he’s been real diligent without the puck."The only thing is that we haven’t seen any results, and we need production."That’s a little bit unfair, I suppose, but that’s the expectation he has as a player, that he’s an offensive player who can handle the puck and make plays. "So it’s reasonable to expect production and we haven’t got that." Filatov should not be owned in any type of format.

Nikita Filatov might not be able to take advantage of another chance to make an impact in the NHL if his broken nose sidelines him for an extensive amount of time.

Filatov suffered the injury during Tuesday night and will be out for at least the rest of the game. It's unclear how long that injury might sideline him; it's a tough issue but it doesn't always force tougher players to miss games. Filatov only has one assist in seven games, so this shouldn't be a loss for anyone.

Despite just being called up, Nikita Filatov will receive another chance to prove he can be a top-six forward.

Reports indicate that Filatov may play with Jason Spezza and/or Daniel Alfredsson in Sunday's game against Carolina. One thing Filatov cannot really complain about is a lack of opportunities, as he's getting yet another shot to prove he can be an everyday player in the NHL. He hasn't done much with previous chances, but considering his draft status, he's at least worth keeping an eye on.
