Colin Wilson feels great after undergoing shoulder stabilization surgery two weeks ago.

"It feels amazing," Wilson said. "I already know I'm ahead of schedule, and it's doing very well," he said. "I was told (surgery) was going to be the most painful experience of my life, waking up from that, but I didn't even have any pain." Wilson was expected to be out four-six months but his recovery is going a lot better than thought and he could be ready for the start of training camp.
Apr 29 - 10:42 AM

Colin Wilson underwent successful shoulder stabilization surgery and will need about four months to recover.

Barring any setbacks, Wilson should be fine to go for training camp. He had 19 points in 25 games this season. Look for him to be a 55-60 point player next season.
Apr 16 - 10:06 AM

Colin Wilson will have a procedure on his injured shoulder Monday.

The minor surgery will keep him out for the rest of the season. Wilson was having his best season to date when hurt as he had 19 points in 25 games. He is worth looking at in deeper pools next season.
Apr 15 - 10:58 AM

Colin Wilson will undergo a procedure on his shoulder that will sideline him for the rest of the season.

The Predators' offense has really missed Wilson, who was the team's leading scorer at the time of his injury with 19 points in 25 games, and no they'll have to wait until next year to get him back in the lineup. Don't forget about him in 2013-14.
Apr 11 - 2:31 PM

Colin Wilson (upper body) skated on Tuesday for the first time since getting injured on March 9.

There is still no timetable for his return but the good news is that he is skating. He has seven goals and 19 points in 25 games this season.

Look for Colin Wilson to take his game to a new level next season.

Wilson has been out of action since March 9 and there is genuine concern that he is done for the rest of the season. That being said, assistant GM Paul Fenton is high on Wilson. "I think we just started to see the tip of the iceberg for what he's going be like as a power forward that has the skill and production we knew when we drafted him," Fenton said. "There are so many different variables, it's hard to put a finger on it and say this is exactly why he started to take the next step. But I'd probably say his maturity started to take him to a different level." He will make a nice late pick in next year's fantasy draft, especially playing only 25 games this season. He managed seven goals and 19 points this season before the injury.
Apr 9 - 10:16 AM

There is a legitimate concern that Colin Wilson (upper body) won't return this season.

When Predators coach Barry Trotz was asked whether he'd play again this year, he said, "I don't know." And he later added, "When I see him on the ice for us with a sweater on, then I think he’ll have a chance to go." Willson suffered his injury March 9, and he hasn't even skated with the team yet.
Apr 5 - 7:56 PM

Colin Wilson (upper body) has resumed skating on his own.

He has sat out the Predators' past eight games with an upper-body injury. "I felt comfortable skating," Wilson said. "Obviously with what happened there was no set timetable — sometimes it's two weeks, sometimes it's a little longer. I'm just taking it day by day, that whole cliché." Coach Barry Trotz said Wilson is still "a ways away" from returning to game action.
Mar 27 - 5:54 PM

Colin Wilson (upper body) hasn't started skating yet, but coach Barry Trotz still believes Wilson will play again this season.

Trotz said it will be a "little bit longer" before Wilson gets back on the ice. It doesn't sound like Wilson has suffered any sort of setback, although there still doesn't appear to be any official timetable for his return. Wilson hasn't played since leaving a March 9 game with the injury. His 19 points still lead the Predators.
Mar 19 - 1:26 PM

Colin Wilson (upper body) doesn't appear ready to return to the Predators lineup in the near future.

When asked about the status of his forward, coach Barry Trotz replied with, "He's on schedule right now." And when pressed about what that schedule might be, he said, "There's no definite timetable." Wilson hasn't played since leaving the March 9 game early with the injury. He has seven goals and 19 points on the season.
Mar 15 - 8:06 PM

Colin Wilson and Patric Hornqvist will be out at least through Sunday, according to Predators coach Barry Trotz.

The two players are both dealing with upper-body injuries. Though they (Hornqvist on Friday and Wilson on Saturday) are both eligible to come off of the injured reserve soon, they will remain sidelined for at least a bit longer. Already lacking offense, the Preds need these guys back in their lineup as soon as possible. It looks like the earliest either could return is Tuesday, March 19.
Mar 13 - 8:58 PM

Nashville has placed Colin Wilson (upper body) on injured reserve.

He logged just over five minutes of ice time in Saturday's shootout loss to Minnesota before leaving the game with an upper-body injury. Wilson has seven goals and 19 points in 25 games.
Mar 11 - 2:01 PM

Predators forward Colin Wilson will be re-evaluated within the next couple of days to determine the extent of the upper body injury he suffered in Saturday's game against Minnesota.

The Preds are holding out hope that the injury isn't serious, but a review of the play isn't overly encouraging. Unless good news is received on his status, we recommend you reserve Wilson until further notice.
Mar 10 - 9:30 AM

Colin Wilson left Saturday's game in the second period with an upper-body injury.

Just a day after losing Patric Hornqvist, the Preds lost their top scorer. Wilson, who has 19 points, was hit from behind by the Wild's Justin Falk and fell awkwardly into the boards. As the league's worst offensive team, the Predators cannot afford to lose Wilson for an extended period.
