Colin Wilson is likely to line up on Colorado's third line.
It seems that Avs' GM Joe Sakic views Wilson as an excellent third-line player at either center or wing. That's not going to do wonders for his fantasy value. We would wait and see if Wilson is looking at a bottom-six assignment or if he can elevate his game enough to land on the Avs' second line before investing anything in him. Jul 2 - 11:31 AM

The Nashville Predators have dealt Colin Wilson to Colorado for a fourth round pick in 2019.

The Predators were hoping that Wilson would be their top center when they drafted him seventh overall in 2008 but that never came to be and they now get little in return for the 27-year-old. Wilson had 12 goals and 23 assists in the regular season after a six goal, 24 point effort the previous season. He had a pair of goals and two assists in 12 playoff games during the Preds run to the Cup Final. His best season was 42 points so look for Wilson to be a bottom-two center in Colorado next season. He is not worth drafting.

Colin Wilson (undisclosed) might rejoin the Predators for Game 5 on Thursday.

Predators coach Peter Laviolette wouldn't tip his hand so we'll have to wait and see, but Wilson did skate alongside Harry Zolnierczyk and Frederick Gaudreau during Thursday's line rushes. P. A. Parenteau has also said that he won't be back in the lineup for Game 5, which further suggests that Wilson is ready to return.

Colin Wilson skated alongside Mike Fisher and James Neal on Wednesday night after Kevin Fiala was injured.

"I kind of had to take it. I don't want to see a guy getting injured, but it's certainly a role that I've played before in my career," Wilson said. "I've played a lot of my seasons with [Fisher and Neal] so if that continues to be the line, I'll certainly jump at the opportunity." Wilson has led the Predators in scoring in each of the past two postseasons and he scored in his return to the lineup in Game 1 against St. Louis.
