Colin Wilson got the only goal for Nashville in its 3-1 loss to the Blackhawks on Saturday night.
Wilson’s career highs are 16 goals and 35 points, but he’s now on pace to topple that, barely. He has six goals and 12 points, with three of his goals coming over the last four games. His upside isn't high but he could be a solid depth player in fantasy leagues. Victor Bartley and Mike Fisher chipped in with the assists. Dec 6 - 11:07 PM

After an incredibly slow start Colin Wilson is finally playing some very good hockey.

He has meshed nicely on the Preds' second line with Craig Smith and rookie Calle Jarnkrok and is scoring and setting up important goals. He scored the winner last week against Columbus and a key insurance goal against St. Louis and Martin Brodeur on Thursday. Keep an eye on Wilson and if he is unowned, consider picking him up if you are short up front.

Colin Wilson scored the game-winning goal in Nashville's 2-1 win over Columbus on Saturday night.

Wilson has been on fire recently. The 25-year-old has six points in his last six contests. Overall, Wilson's season has been disappointing from an offensive standpoint. He has just 10 points in 21 games in 2014-15. The Predators have now won four in a row, and you may want to monitor Wilson's situation to see if he stays hot.
Nov 30 - 12:32 PM

Colin Wilson earned a pair of assists in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over Los Angeles.

Wilson has meshed well with Craig Smith on the team's second line. Smith had a goal and an assist in the match. Wilson has nine points, with five coming in his past four games, in 19 matches this year.
Nov 26 - 1:29 PM

Colin Wilson notched a goal in the Predators’ 3-2 shootout win against the Panthers on Saturday night.

Wilson scored the game’s first goal with 1:34 left in the second period. More valuable from a real-life perspective, Wilson has three goals and seven points this season. His offensive upside is around 35-40 points. Matt Cullen potted the other marker, Calle Jarnkrok, Craig Smitha and Derek Roy got the helpers.
Nov 22 - 11:06 PM

Colin Wilson (lower body) returned to action on Saturday.

Wilson missed two games with the injury and was a plus-one Saturday. He is not off to the best of starts as he has only one goal and four points in 14 games this season. There are better options on the waiver wire than Colin Wilson at this time.
Nov 16 - 2:07 AM

Colin Wilson sat out Tuesday's contest against the Edmonton Oilers with a lower-body injury.

Gabriel Bourque played with Calle Jarnkrok and Olli Jokinen in Wilson's place. He is listed as day-to-day.
Nov 12 - 2:31 PM

Colin Wilson netted his first goal of the season in Sunday's 3-1 win over Vancouver.

He rounded out the scoring in the contest late in the third period. Wilson has registered four points in 11 games. He isn't worth targeting for your fantasy roster at this time.
Nov 3 - 1:14 PM

Colin Wilson skated with Mike Ribeiro and James Neal during Tuesday's shootout loss to Calgary.

He replaced Gabriel Bourque on the club's top line during the first period. Wilson earned an assist on a goal by Ribeiro in the second period for his first point of the 2014-15 campaign.

Colin Wilson fully participated in Wednesday's practice after he wore a no-contact jersey on Tuesday.

He played between Eric Nystrom and Richard Clune with Paul Gaustad on the sidelines. If he's healthy then Wilson is projected to start the regular season alongside Derek Roy and Craig Smith.
Oct 2 - 4:27 PM

Colin Wilson was sporting a no-contact jersey at Tuesday's practice.

Consider him day-to-day with an undisclosed ailment for the time being.
Oct 1 - 4:45 PM

Colin Wilson's struggles last season helped spark an off-season shopping spree, as the Preds brought in multiple new centers that will make it tough for the 24 year-old to earn top-six minutes.

Wilson was a scorer during his NCAA days at Boston University, and improved each and every year in his first four NHL seasons. Between 2011-2013, the Greenwich, CT native notched 54 points in 93 games. But the 24 year-old had trouble finding the net last year, managing just 33 points in 81 games. The Preds brought in Derek Roy, Olli Jokinen and Mike Ribiero during the off-season, which will make it difficult for the 24 year-old Wilson to log decent ice-time and play with the team's gifted wingers. If Wilson does win a featured spot on the top two lines, he is capable of putting up good numbers once again, but don't count on it.
Aug 24 - 10:30 AM

Colin Wilson admitted that his shoulder stabilization procedures could've held him back this past season.

"It was a tough start to the season and a tough season for myself. I didn't feel quite like myself at the beginning," Wilson said. "I think there were a few factors and (the shoulders) could have been one of them. I think I did everything I could and felt pretty good going into camp and throughout the season, but I tried to not let it get to me." He scored four goals in the first two months of the season and ended up with just 11 markers and 33 points in 81 games. Wilson was moved to his natural position at center this year, but the move didn't help him pick up points. Perhaps Nashville's new coach and a healthier start can give the 24-year-old forward the breakout season that the team and potential fantasy owners have been waiting for.
Apr 21 - 2:42 PM

Colin Wilson snapped a 33-game goalless slump in Thursday's win over the Buffalo Sabres.

"It was a good feeling," said Wilson after he scored his first goal since Dec. 30. "I've just been trying to get the puck to the net. I feel like I've had some good chances lately and they just haven't been going in, so maybe this will open something for the last couple of games here." He has eight goals and 20 assists in 73 games this season.
Mar 28 - 10:40 AM

Colin Wilson will probably be in store for bigger role now that the Predators have traded top center David Legwand to Detroit.

He had been skating on the third line, but he's likely to get a top-six spot with Legwand out of the mix. Wilson hasn't scored a goal since Dec. 30 and he's generated just two assists in his past 18 games.
