Colin Wilson has gone goalless in his last 13 games.
He has posted just two assists during that time. Wilson has one goal this season and he is still looking for his first tally at even strength. It hasn't been a good start for Wilson, but his history shows that he goes through very hot and very cold stretches. Nov 24 - 12:36 PM

Colin Wilson is trying to stay confident despite scoring just one goal after 13 games.

"I know I'm capable of scoring goals," he said. "I'm not going to say I'm worried about it, but it's certainly something that's on my mind that I know I have to get going in order to help the team." Wilson admitted that there has been some added pressure because he signed a four-year, $15.75 million contract extension in the summer. Wilson went through hot and cold streaks in 2014-15 as well, so keep him in mind once he starts heating up again.
Nov 10 - 11:05 AM

Colin Wilson registered one goal and two assists in a 5-1 win against Anaheim on Thursday night.

He finally got on the board with his first goal of 2015-16 during a Predators power play late in the third period. Before that he assisted on goals by Mattias Ekholm and Mike Ribeiro.

Nashville is expecting more consistency from Colin Wilson this season.

"Another year older, another year wiser, another year more mature both on and off the ice," GM David Poile said. "Colin's now at the age where he knows he can do it. He's got to apply himself to do it on a regular basis. That's all 82 regular-season games and that's in the playoffs. We saw almost that last year. We're selfish. We want the whole package. I think Colin can get it." The Predators and Wilson will be looking for steady production this year after he went through hot and cold stretches in 2014-15. He should be able to build on his 20-goal, 42-point campaign from a year ago.
Oct 2 - 12:04 PM

Colin Wilson has signed a four-year, $15.75 million deal with the Nashville Predators.

Wilson was set to have an arbitration hearing on Tuesday, but this deal makes it moot. He had requested a $4.25 million payday from the arbitrator while Nashville had countered at $3 million. This deal obviously leans more towards Wilson's request than Nashville's, but the Predators must feel that's a fair trade off to lock him up for a longer term. He'll turn 26 in October and is coming off of a season where he scored 20 goals and 42 points in 77 games.
Jul 27 - 11:59 AM

Colin Wilson and the Predators are $1.25 million apart in their arbitration offers.

According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, Wilson has asked for $4.25 million, while the Predators have filed for $3 million. Wilson had 20 goals and 42 points, both of which were career highs, last season. He earned $2.5 million last season.

Now that the Predators have avoided arbitration with Craig Smith, they would also like to do so with Colin Wilson.

"There are similarities with them, so we’ll probably have the same arguments in (the brief)," Poile said of Wilson and Smith. "Having said that, we would certainly like to have conversations this week now that Craig Smith’s contract is settled with Colin Wilson’s agent to see whether there’s a contract that can be done vs. going to arbitration." Wilson's arbitration hearing is set for July 28th.
Jul 25 - 8:36 AM

Colin Wilson has an arbitration hearing with Nashville scheduled for July 28.

Wilson earned $2.5 million in the final season of his three-year, $6 million deal. He had 20 goals and 42 points in 77 contests with the Predators last season.
Jul 13 - 5:39 PM

Predators' forward Colin Wilson has filed for salary arbitration.

The Predators, Coyotes and Flames each have three players that have filed for arbitration, which is the most in the league. Taylor Beck and Craig Smith have also elected to take the Predators to arbitration. Wilson, 25, had 20 goals and 42 points in 77 games last season.
Jul 5 - 6:51 PM

RFA Colin Wilson is seen as part of Nashville's future, according to GM David Poile.

"Four years, something like that, probably makes sense" Poile said when discussing potential contract length. Wilson, who is entering his seventh season and age-27 season, is coming off his best career season. With 20 goals and 42 points, he also set highs in shots on goal (172) and time on ice (1248). Wilson's coming off a three-year contract worth $6M as well, and the Predators are $10.644M under the cap with just 14 players signed. It's easy to imagine Wilson getting a nice bump in pay this summer.

Jun 12 - 8:25 PM

Colin Wilson is due for a sizable pay raise this summer, as a restricted free agent.

He hit the 20-goal mark for the first time in 2014-15 and he posted a personal best 42 points in 77 games. Wilson also potted five goals in six playoff matches against Chicago. The 25-year-old forward is starting to show flashes of the potential that made him the seventh overall pick in 2008 and the Predators will probably reward that.
May 27 - 4:12 PM

Colin Wilson is not participating in Saturday morning's practice.

We hope this is just a morning off and not an injury situation. Wilson has been one of Nashville's best players in the post-season so far and he will be needed if the Preds are to stave off elimination Saturday night in Chicago. Stay tuned for further updates as to Wilson's status.
Apr 25 - 1:41 PM

Colin Wilson set Nashville's playoff franchise record for most goals in a series when he put home his fifth against Chicago in Game 5 Thursday night.

The power-play goal was also the second in a line of three goals Nashville scored in a 2:37 span to begin the third period en route to a 5-2 victory. Wilson is also tied with Filip Forsberg and Craig Smith for the team lead in points with five.
Apr 24 - 1:15 AM

Colin Wilson didn't participate in Thursday's morning skate, but we would still consider him probable to play in Game 5.

Coach Peter Laviolette chose not to reveal any news on his injured and missing players from the session. Wilson has four goals in four games against Chicago in the series.
Apr 23 - 1:38 PM

Colin Wilson scored his playoffs-leading fourth goal in the Predators 3-2 triple OT loss to Chicago on Tuesday/Wednesday.

Wilson was the first player to get on the board in this marathon of a hockey game. He has four goals in four games now and is one of the few Nashville players producing on a consistent basis. Chicago now holds a commanding 3-1 series lead and the team will need even more from Wilson. James Neal scored his first of the playoffs as well in a losing cause.
