Tyler Ennis is likely to get a very good opportunity to rebound from his injury-plagued 2015-16 season.

Sabre coach Dan Bylsma seems pretty clear on who his top six forwards will be this season and Ennis looks to be lining up on the team's second unit alongside Ryan O'Reilly and Kyle Okposo. Buffalo's first line will feature Jack Eichel between Evander Kane and Sam Reinhart. Look for Ennis to take advantage of this opportunity and return to his 2014-15 level of production.

Tyler Ennis is eager to get back to playing after missing most of the 2015-16 campaign due to a concussion.

"Incredibly frustrating, so I'm motivated," he said. "I'm excited. I'm glad it's in the past. I'm ready for a fresh start, and I'm looking to build on some things I learned over that time." Ennis was healthy at the end of the year and he's looking forward to playing in his first game since last Dec. 30. He also wants to bounce back after he went through some offensive inconsistencies a year ago.

Tyler Ennis (concussion) won't play Friday and Saturday.

He hasn't played since Dec. 30 and will miss a total of 57 games due to concussion-related issues. The Sabres were hoping to get Ennis back before the end of regular season, but that won't be case. The good news is that he is able to skate and he was on the ice in a no-contact jersey on Thursday. Ennis was limited to 23 appearances in 2015-16 and he accounted for 11 points.

Mar 31 - 11:49 AM

Tyler Ennis (concussion) skated on his own Monday.

"Tyler's doing quite well, is improving," coach Dan Bylsma said. "Worked out and skated this morning, so he's doing better and better and the hopes of maybe moving in a positive direction in the next seven days." Ennis has appeared in only four games since Nov. 23 because of multiple concussions and he hasn't played since Dec. 30. Still, Bylsma is hopeful that Ennis could play before the end of the season.
Mar 21 - 1:21 PM

Tyler Ennis (concussion) still isn't practicing.

Coach Dan Bylsma still hasn't given up hope that Ennis could return this season, but that's looking more and more unlikely. He has been out of action since suffering his second concussion of the year on Dec. 30 in Washington.

Feb 19 - 12:53 PM

Tyler Ennis (concussion) is still unable to take part in a full-scale workout, per head coach Dan Bylsma.

"Today was not a skate day for him," Bylsma said on Saturday. "He did work out off the ice. He’s progressing and doing better but not ready to go to a full-scale workout." This particular concussion has already kept him out for 19 games.
Feb 14 - 11:40 AM

Tyler Ennis' upper-body injury is a concussion.

"Still not able to get on the ice other than to be on the ice by himself," coach Dan Bylsma said. "His timeline is no better than week-to-week. He has progressed over the last 10 days but still needs to go a little bit further before he can be cleared to go onto the next level." Ennis has missed 16 straight games due to the ailment.
Feb 8 - 2:32 PM

Tyler Ennis (upper body) skated by himself after Buffalo's optional session on Friday.

"He's made some good improvements, still not one where he can go all-out on the ice," coach Dan Bylsma said. Ennis has played in just four of the last 31 games and has been absent for 15 straight contests with another on the way Saturday night.
Feb 6 - 9:49 AM

Tyler Ennis (upper body) is still regarded as week-to-week because he hasn't resumed skating.

"He is working out daily," coach Dan Bylsma said. "He is progressing, but it's not imminent for him to get on the ice. I'd like to move him closer than week-to-week right now, but it's not possible." He has missed 25 of the last 29 games and hasn't played since Dec. 30.

Tyler Ennis is still regarded as being out week-to-week.
