Tyler Ennis missed Wednesday's game with an upper-body injury.

Coach Dan Bylsma said that Ennis has to undergo further evaluation, so right now there is no timetable for his return.
Nov 26 - 9:24 AM

Tyler Ennis hasn't scored a goal in nine straight games.

He has collected five assists during that span, but he has just three goals in 18 contests this season. Ennis has hit the 20-goal mark in each of the past two years, but consistency has never been a strong part of his game.
Nov 23 - 9:33 AM

Tyler Ennis has negated two Buffalo goals in one week because of plays where he was offside.

"This time it cost us the game, so it's frustrating," Ennis said Tuesday after a 3-1 loss to Dallas. "I've got to stay onside." Both plays were called no goal after a coach's challenge. Ennis had an assist on Ryan O'Reilly's power-play marker in the defeat to give him eight points in his last nine contests.
Nov 18 - 9:42 AM

Tyler Ennis has recorded five points in his past five games.

He has notched two goals and three assists during that time. Ennis has one shot in his last three outings, but it's encouraging to see his point total climbing after a slow start.
Nov 9 - 9:52 AM

Tyler Ennis will indeed return to the Sabres lineup on Sunday against the Islanders.

Ennis will skate to the right of Nicolas Deslauriers and Ryan O'Reilly to form the team's second line. Ennis is off to a nice start this season with three goals, five points, and 33 shots on net through nine games thus far.
Nov 1 - 7:17 PM

Tyler Ennis will take the warm-up skate against the Islanders on Sunday.

Ennis skated on Saturday morning, and will take the pre-game skate tonight. That's usually the sign a player is coming back, but because we don't know what kind of lower body injury he has, we cannot say for certain that Ennis will play.
Nov 1 - 6:41 PM

Despite taking part in a portion of the morning skate on Friday, Tyler Ennis is not yet ready to return to action.

He missed his second consecutive game Friday with a lower-body injury. Given that Ennis didn't finish the skate, he may not be ready to return to action Sunday against the Islanders. For now, consider Ennis day-to-day.
Oct 31 - 9:57 AM

Tyler Ennis will miss Thursday's tilt with Pittsburgh with a lower body injury.

Ennis is off to another good start with three goals, five points, 33 shots through nine games thus far, which makes his absence on top of Evander Kane's all the more frustrating for Sabres fans. The type and severity of the injury is not yet known, but we'll keep you posted. Tim Schaller will take his place.
Oct 29 - 6:57 PM

Tyler Ennis scored a goal and an assist in Saturday's loss to the New Jersey Devils.

Ennis picked up a power play goal in the first period to give Buffalo a 1-0 lead. He also registered an assist on Ryan O'Reilly's second period goal. The 26-year-old has two goals and four points in 2015-16.
Oct 25 - 12:21 PM

Tyler Ennis was surprised to learn that he has amassed 22 shots in five games this year.

"I have 22 shots?" Ennis asked. "I didn't know that but I know I've been trying to shoot it a little more. ... Sometimes on the pass I've been a little too patient and waited for the perfect chance and then it's disappeared on me. I still think of myself as a pass-first guy and I love passing but sometimes a few shots early will get you into the game." He had seven shots and one assist in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Tampa Bay. Ennis has one goal this year, but if he keeps firing pucks on goal then good things are bound to happen.
Oct 20 - 10:16 AM

Tyler Ennis picked up an assist in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Tampa Bay.

Ennis picked up the only assist on Sam Reinhart's first career goal. The 26-year-old was held off the scoresheet in the first three games of the season, but he's now collected points in back-to-back games. He has a goal and an assist this season.
Oct 18 - 9:52 AM

Tyler Ennis scored his first goal of the season in the Sabres' 3-2 loss to Florida on Thursday night.

Ennis' power play marker was his first point in four games this season. The 26-year-old had 46 points in 78 games last year.
Oct 15 - 11:48 PM

Tyler Ennis had a hat trick and an assist to lead the Sabres to a 6-4 preseason win against the Senators on Saturday.

There’s some early chemistry building for Ennis with the new group of talented forwards in Buffalo and that could portend some great things for him this season. He had 20 goals and 46 points last year. Zemgus Girgensons (goal, assist), Evander Kane and Johan Larsson got the other goals. Jack Eichel picked up a pair of assists. Chad Johnson had 30 saves in a full workload.
Sep 26 - 11:09 PM

Tyler Ennis is excited for the start of 2015-16 because of the changes Buffalo made during the off-season.

He's looking forward to helping and playing with his new teammates, but he knows the team will have to work hard to find success. "At the same time, we know there's a lot we need to improve on and get better at," said Ennis. "It's not just going to happen. You can get a lot of great players but still struggle. We've got to get the structure back in our game. We've got to play like we practice, get the tempo up in practice. There's a lot of areas where we were last place last year. Although we expect a huge jump, there's a lot that we need to improve on." His goal going into camp is to push everyone to be better and that type of leadership is always needed to build a winner.
