Tyler Ennis is the NHL's first star of the week.
Buffalo has been on fire lately with their 9-3-0 run and Ennis has been at the heart of that comeback. He had a goal and five points in three games last week to bring him up to eight goals and 13 assists in 30 contests in 2014-15. Dec 15 - 1:23 PM

Tyler Ennis racked up three assists in Thursday night's 4-3 win over Calgary, helping the Sabres improve to 8-3 in their past 11 games.

Ennis assisted on two Matt Moulson goals, including the game-winner with eight minutes remaining in the third period. The 20-year-old has 20 points in 29 games this season.
Dec 11 - 10:21 PM

Tyler Ennis scored the only goal for Buffalo in a 1-0 shutout win over the Kings on Tuesday night.

The power play marker was the eighth of the campaign, third with the man advantage, for the diminutive forward. He leads the Sabres with 17 points in 28 contests this year.
Dec 9 - 10:50 PM

Tyler Ennis scored a goal and an assist in Buffalo's 2-1 upset win over Montreal.

Ennis went around Habs' defenseman Alexei Emelin,to score a beautiful backhanded goal to give the Sabres a 1-0 lead. Ennis also had a hand in the Sabres' game-winning goal. His dump-in took an awkward bounce off the boards and popped in front of a wide-open Montreal net, where Matt Moulson reaped the reward. Ennis has seven goals and eight assists in 23 games this season.
Nov 28 - 10:30 PM

Tyler Ennis recorded three points in the Sabers’ 6-2 win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

Yes, you read that correctly: Six goals for Buffalo. Ennis scored and assisted twice in the rout, to give him points in three consecutive tilts. There isn’t a lot to like about the Sabres, making it hard to recommend anyone for fantasy purposes. Ennis has six goals and 12 points this year. Zemgus Girgensons potted two goals, while Matt Moulson scored and added two assists. Drew Stafford (goal, assist) and Tyler Myers got the other goals.

Tyler Ennis rewarded his fantasy owners with a well-rounded performance in a 6-1 loss to St. Louis on Tuesday.

In addition to scoring the lone Buffalo goal in the loss, a power play marker at that, Ennis racked up five penalty minutes after dropping the gloves to fight the Blues' Alexander Steen. His plus/minus will likely be a hindrance all season long, but he is the odds-on favorite to lead Buffalo in scoring.
Nov 11 - 11:57 PM

Tyler Ennis moved to right wing during Monday's practice.

He lined with Zemgus Girgensons in the middle and Matt Moulson on the left after starting the season as a center. Ennis leads the Sabres with four goals in 16 games this season.

Tyler Ennis won't be suspended for slashing a linesman on the wrist.

Ennis whacked the official in frustration, but the NHL deemed that the game misconduct on Friday was enough of a punishment.
Nov 9 - 11:43 AM

Buffalo Sabres forward Tyler Ennis received a game misconduct after whacking an official with his stick following Friday's loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Ennis said he hasn't heard from the league yet, which would imply that he perhaps will sidestep a suspension. Still, it remains in the realm of possibility. The Sabres face the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight.
Nov 8 - 1:27 PM

Tyler Ennis missed Friday's practice.

It was just a maintenance day off for Ennis. He should be good to go Saturday afternoon against San Jose.

Tyler Ennis helped the Buffalo Sabres avoid getting shut out for a third straight game Wednesday night.

He snapped the club's goalless streak at exactly 197 minutes. Offense has been hard to come by for the Sabres early into this season. The team has eight goals in seven contests and three of them have come from Ennis.
Oct 23 - 10:22 AM

Tyler Ennis was the only Buffalo player to get on the board in a 4-1 loss to Anaheim on Wednesday.

The goal at the time cut the Ducks' lead to 2-1 but it didn't take long for Corey Perry to respond with two goals. The Sabres have scored just one goal in the last three games. Ennis himself is off a decent start with three goals but we only recommend him in deep leagues.
Oct 23 - 2:13 AM

Tyler Ennis scored Buffalo's lone goal in a 5-1 loss on Monday.

Ennis also found the back of the net in Saturday's contest, so he's off to a solid start. Matt Moulson and Drew Stafford assisted on Ennis' marker.
Oct 13 - 5:54 PM

Center Tyler Ennis had a goal and two assists for the Sabres in a 6-1 preseason win against the Washington Capitals in Buffalo on Wednesday.

Matt Moulson also had a nice night for the Sabres, scoring twice. Sam Reinhart, the second pick in the 2014 NHL Draft, also got a goal for Buffalo, as did Drew Stafford and Marcus Foligno. Sabres goalie Jhonas Enroth made 22 saves. Jason Chimera scored the lone Washington goal. Caps netminder Braden Holtby stopped 17 of 22 shots; Philipp Grubauer made seven saves.
Oct 1 - 10:13 PM

Tyler Ennis' agent, Eustace King, is predicting that his client will peak at around 30 goals and 70 points.

"I believe that Tyler's challenge has been that he's an undersized guy his whole career but he's overcome that obstacle," King said of Ennis. "I think Tyler is going to be like some of the smaller guys that have gone through the Buffalo Sabres over the years and gone on to great careers in the NHL. I clearly believe we haven't scratched the surface yet to what Tyler can be." Obviously Ennis' agent is going to be biased and the numbers he's putting forward would be a big leap from his current career-high of 49 points. That being said, Ennis is still just 24 years old (25 on Oct. 6) and he definitely still has some room to grow. He should establish himself as a solid top-six forward after inking a five-year, $23 million deal with Buffalo.
