Center Tyler Ennis had a goal and two assists for the Sabres in a 6-1 preseason win against the Washington Capitals in Buffalo on Wednesday.

Tyler Ennis' agent, Eustace King, is predicting that his client will peak at around 30 goals and 70 points.

"I believe that Tyler's challenge has been that he's an undersized guy his whole career but he's overcome that obstacle," King said of Ennis. "I think Tyler is going to be like some of the smaller guys that have gone through the Buffalo Sabres over the years and gone on to great careers in the NHL. I clearly believe we haven't scratched the surface yet to what Tyler can be." Obviously Ennis' agent is going to be biased and the numbers he's putting forward would be a big leap from his current career-high of 49 points. That being said, Ennis is still just 24 years old (25 on Oct. 6) and he definitely still has some room to grow. He should establish himself as a solid top-six forward after inking a five-year, $23 million deal with Buffalo.
Jul 17 - 10:09 PM

The Buffalo Sabres have signed Tyler Ennis to a multi-year contract extension.

Buffalo didn't disclose the term or cap hit, but it's reportedly a five-year, $23 million contract. The Sabres are betting on Ennis bouncing back after recording just 43 points in 80 games last season. He certainly has the capacity to firmly establish himself as a solid top-six forward and could end up with 50-60 points in 2014-15.
Jul 17 - 10:26 AM

Tyler Ennis is reportedly close to signing a five-year deal with the Buffalo Sabres.

It's believed that Ennis' deal will be in the ballpark of $4.6 million annually for five years. He had 43 points and 42 penalty minutes in 80 games in 2013-14. At the age of 24, he still has some untapped offensive upside.
Jul 16 - 4:25 PM

Tyler Ennis is setting high goals for himself for next season and beyond.

He said he wants to hit 30 or 40 goals after he scored 21 this past campaign. "I can be a lot better," Ennis said. "I had such a slow start. It's not acceptable, and I need to be better to start. I'm looking forward to next year and playing out of the gates faster." He registered two goals and six points during the first 20 games of the year with Ron Rolston behind the bench. Ennis played primarily as Buffalo's No. 1 center in 2013-14, but he'll need to better on faceoffs (38.7 percent success rate) if the Sabres want to keep him in that role.
May 3 - 1:54 PM

Tyler Ennis earned Buffalo's MVP award for the 2013-14 season.

It was voted on by his teammates. He led the club with 21 goals and finished second with 43 points in 80 games. Cody Hodgson beat him for the scoring crown by one point. It was an incredibly disappointing season for the last-placed Sabres, but Ennis did his best to account for offense on a team that struggled to score all year.
Apr 14 - 10:36 AM

Tyler Ennis scored twice and again in the shootout to spearhead the Sabres to a 3-2 victory over the Devils on Tuesday night.

Ennis now has 21 goals and 40 points through 73 games this season. The 24 year old is still a -17 this season. His best month was January, when he had 11 points in 13 games.
Apr 1 - 11:05 PM

Ennis and the rest of the Sabres were shut out 2-0 by the Habs, as Buffalo increased their stranglehold on dead last in the NHL, 11 points behind the 29th place Oilers.
Mar 25 - 11:50 PM

Tyler Ennis scored a goal for Buffalo Sunday, but it wasn't enough to stop the Canucks from prevailing by a score of 4-2.

Ennis has been one of the few bright spots for Buffalo over the past few months and has now registered 19 goals on the season. If he manages to score twice more before the end of the season, he'll reach a new career-best in that category. Jamie McBain also scored a goal for the Sabres in the loss.
Mar 23 - 11:08 PM

Tyler Ennis and Drew Stafford have accounted for all six of Buffalo's goals in the team's last seven games.

Ennis has seven goals and 13 points in his past 16 contests. He leads the Sabres with 18 goals and 36 points on the year. Stafford has been hot as well with 10 tallies and 17 points in his last 19 outings.

Mar 15 - 10:00 PM

Buffalo's Tyler Ennis opened the scoring on a penalty shot in the Sabres' 4-2 loss to the Hurricanes in Carolina Thursday night.

It was Ennis' 17th goal of the season. Drew Stafford scored Buffalo's second goal in the second period to give the Sabres a 2-1 lead, but the Canes dominated after that and Buffalo wound up with its fourth consecutive loss.
Mar 13 - 10:11 PM

Tyler Ennis was the only goal scorer for Buffalo in Monday's loss to Dallas as he scored a pair of goals in a 3-2 defeat.

Ennis had recently missed a pair of games with an undisclosed injury, but he looked strong on this night and has now tallied 16 times on the season. After an extremely slow start to the campaign, the diminutive forward has enjoyed a productive second half.

He has missed the last two games with the ailment. Ennis is second on the Sabres with 14 goals and 30 points in 58 games this season.
