Luke Adam has been summoned on an emergency basis.

Sabre forward Luke Adam may be someone to watch going forward.

He was tied for the AHL lead in goals scored when he was called up by Buffalo on November 19th and although he had not registered a point in his first three games with the Sabres, he was Buffalo's best player Friday night against Toronto. He scored a goal and had many more scoring chances. Keep an eye on Adam as he may be worthy of a pick up in deeper pools.

Luke Adam is expected to suit up in his third game with Buffalo on Wednesday.

He has no points, two shots and two hits in his previous two NHL outings this year, while averaging 12:24 of ice time. "A lot of things go through these younger players minds when they get called up. My biggest thing is try to make the comfortable with what they do and up their tempo a little bit," interim coach Ted Nolan said. "Luke has some natural ability that a lot of us would like to have. We've just got to up the speed level to the National Hockey League level." Adam has 13 goals and 18 points in 15 contests with AHL Rochester.

The Buffalo Sabres have signed Luke Adam to a one-year extension.

Adam had 37 points and 57 penalty minutes in 67 AHL contests last season. He scored 10 goals and 20 points in 52 games with the Sabres in 2011-12, but he hasn't come close to replicating that level of success.

Luke Adam's goal against Ottawa Friday night was his first in the NHL since December 17, 2011.

Adam was once regarded as a hot prospect. That is not the case any longer. Although he may garner some additional ice time over the last three weeks of the season as the Sabres have cleaned house, Adam can be ignored for fantasy purposes.

Luke Adam has been summoned from the minors.

He might be up in case Ville Leino (lower body) or Thomas Vanek (upper body) can't play Tuesday night, but his presence on the team could also be a safeguard for a possible trade. With the deadline just a day away this type of speculation should be expected. Adam had 10 goals and 10 assists in 52 games with the Sabres last season.

The fact that the Sabres opted to promote Brian Flynn Friday over Luke Adam is telling for how the franchise now regards Adam.

He has registered a disappointing 24 points in 49 games in the AHL this season and seems to be the forgotten man. If you have been waiting for Adam, a top pick, to break out it may be time to cut him loose.

Luke Adam and Marcus Foligno each potted goals in Rochester's 4-3 shootout loss to Toronto on Saturday night.

Adam remains a bit mystifying as he's really struggled to produce over the past two years after such a promising 2010-11 campaign. He has just 11 points on the season, after recording 33 in 79 between the AHL and NHL last year. Foligno, on the other hand, has thrived with 24 points in as many games.
