Yannick Weber registered an assist in Vancouver's 4-3 overtime loss to Montreal on Monday.

Weber has now recorded a point in back-to-back games, giving him three points in 13 contests this season. He shouldn't be counted on to get more than 20 points this season and even the 20-point mark is far from a safe goal for him.
Nov 17 - 9:36 AM

Yannick Weber has no points and a minus-five rating in his last five games.

Weber has an assist in nine contests in 2015-16. He can do better than that, but he's not likely to have much fantasy value in standard leagues.
Nov 10 - 9:26 AM

Yannick Weber will return to the Canucks lineup on Saturday against the Red Wings.

Weber has seen just one game thus far, but he played 20 minutes in that game. He's expected to line up with Dan Hamhuis to form Vancouver's third defensive pairing, and has a booming shot. Eleven of Weber's 21 points last season came on the power play, so watch out if he gets hot.
Oct 24 - 8:31 PM

Yannick Weber will be a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against Washington.

The 27-year-old didn't register a point in the only game he played in this season. Adam Cracknell will also be scratched in this game.
Oct 22 - 9:56 PM

Yannick Weber will once again be made a healthy scratch on Sunday against the Oilers.

One might've thought Weber would get in to his second game of the season against the Oilers, but that's not the case. The power play specialist can't seem to convince Coach Desjardins he's worthy through the second week of the season, which means he shouldn't convince you either. Yet.
Oct 18 - 8:31 PM

The Vancouver Canucks may need to put Yannick Weber in their lineup to improve their power play.

The Canucks have scored only once in 18 chances thus far and Weber certainly improved the Vancouver power play last season when he had 11 goals and 21 points in 65 games including five goals and eight points with the man-advantage. Weber was fifth last season on the Canucks as he was on the ice for 15 power play goals. Stay tuned.
Oct 17 - 9:11 AM

Yannick Weber and Sven Baertschi will be healthy scratches on Friday night against the Blues.

Weber has seen just one game thus far and didn't score, but he played nearly 20 minutes. He has a cannon for a shot and scored 11 goals with five coming on the man advantage last season, so if he ever cracks the lineup regularly - watch out. Baertschi meanwhile has an assist, seven shots, six blocks, and four hits in his first four games but isn't much of a fantasy asset.
Oct 16 - 8:29 PM

Yannick Weber will be a healthy scratch against the LA Kings on Tuesday night.

Weber has seen just one game thus far, but played 19:55 in the effort. Weber had a breakout season for the Canucks last season, scoring 11 goals and 21 points. He also tallied five goals and eight points with the man advantage, so watch out should he begin to see regular time on their power play.
Oct 13 - 9:07 PM

Yannick Weber notched a power play goal and assist to help lead the Canucks to their 5-2 win over the Oilers on Thursday night.

Weber also struck teammate Jake Virtanen in the face with a slapper late in the second period, though the forward would later return. All told had a full night with pair of power play points, a hit, a block, a penalty drawn and a trio of takeaways in nearly 19:28 of work. Not too shabby, even for a pre-season game.
Oct 2 - 12:27 AM

Yannick Weber didn't get a qualifying from the Canucks.

He can test the open market on July 1, but a contract with Vancouver could still be in the works. The two sides will continue to talk prior to the start of free agency on Wednesday.
Jun 29 - 6:42 PM

Vancouver GM Jim Benning wants to re-sign restricted free agent Yannick Weber.

Weber had a great second half of the season and ended the season with 11 goals and 21 points although he was held pointless in the post-season. "I thought in the second half of the year, Yannick really stepped up for us," said Benning. "He had a really good offensive year. He was a player who got his shot through and he ended up giving us that element of a scoring defenseman. So I know he’s excited about the way the last half of the year ended up for him. We’re going to get him signed and he’s going to come back and, hopefully, he can continue where he left off."
May 2 - 9:00 AM

Yannick Weber has certainly taken advantage of injuries to the blueline this season and has five goals and eight points on the power play.

Weber has been a stud over the last month with the man-advantage as he has scored four times and added a couple of helpers. The league-leaders in the last month are Jamie Benn, Brian Gionta and Erik Karlsson with eight points so you see how impressive Weber's numbers are. He has 11 goals and 21 points in 64 games this season.
Apr 11 - 9:23 AM

Yannick Weber ended his six-game goal drought with a pair of power play goals spread less than two minutes apart during Thursday's 5-0 win over Edmonton.

Though inconsistently so, it's been a career season for the 26 year old Weber. He's now posted 11 goals and 21 points in 64 games this season, including five goals and eight points with the man advantage. For his career, Weber has now recorded 20 goals and 61 points over 227 games.
Apr 10 - 2:13 AM

Yannick Weber, yes, Yannick Weber, is now the proud owner of a three-game goal scoring streak, as well as a four-game point scoring streak with his goal on Thursday night. However it would be Vancouver's only tally during Thursdays' 4-1 loss to Colorado.

After taking a lead pass from Henrik Sedin, Weber simply entered the zone on the right wing and blast one past Reto Berra just 15 seconds into the third period. The point pushed Weber to a new career high in points with 19. Weber has been quite productive during point streak, tallying three goals, five points, three blocks, and 11 hits while skating over 18 minutes a night on average during his streak. If you need some depth on the blue line, consider Weber while he's hot. He now has nine goals and 19 points through 57 games this season.
