Wayne Simmonds and the rest of the Flyers were shut out on Thursday night versus Vancouver, though the 26-year-old did get on the board with a fight.

Simmonds took on Kevin Bieksa early in the game, but the Canucks opened the scoring while he was in the box and the Flyers were not able to respond. SImmonds will look to add to his 28 points this season on Saturday in Buffalo.

The Flyers are hosting the Lightning on Monday night. Simmonds still has a respectable 16 goals on the season, but he has been slumping of late. 11 of Simmonds' 16 goals have been scored on home ice. Wayne Simmonds was the star for Philadelphia Tuesday as he registered a goal and a fight in a 2-1 shootout win over the Senators.

Simmonds was the lone goal scorer for the Flyers in regulation thanks to his third period power play marker and he also registered the shootout winner by beating Craig Anderson. If that weren't enough, he rounded out his night with five penalty minutes after he dropped the gloves in a bout with Colin Greening. He's quite the fantasy stud.

Wayne Simmonds was the only member of the Flyers to score in Tuesday's 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Lightning.

Simmonds netted his 14th goal of the campaign during a first period power play and appears well on his way to eclipsing the 30-goal plateau for the first time in his career. Claude Giroux and Mark Streit picked up assists on the tally.

Wayne Simmonds scored the game-winning goal as the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Los Angeles Kings 2-1 on Saturday.

After only managing one goal (and three assists) in a 10-game span, Simmonds now has three goals in two games. He's generating almost three goals per contest (71 in 26), so one can expect him to be productive this season. The good news is that even as his scoring comes and goes, he tends to get SOG, PIM and hits in nice quantities.

Wayne Simmonds scored two goals in Philadelphia's 5-4 shootout loss to Anaheim.

Simmonds' second period goal gave the Flyers a 2-1 lead, and his third period goal tied the game at four with just three seconds remaining. Wayne Simmonds had an assist in the Flyers' 5-2 loss on Wednesday.

Simmonds doesn't excel in any one category, but he'll help fantasy owners in a lot of different ways. He has eight goals, 15 points, 19 penalty minutes, and a plus-five rating in 21 games this season.

The Flyers are shifting Wayne Simmonds to the left wing so that he can play on the top line.

Philadelphia has been looking for someone who can fill in for the injured Michael Raffl alongside Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek. Flyers coach Craig Berube experimented with using Chris VandeVelde, but that didn't even last a full game before the idea of using Simmonds came up. The Flyers seem set on keeping Brayden Schenn off the first line, so Simmonds might end up playing with Voracek and Giroux for a while.

Wayne Simmonds recorded his fifth goal of the season and added an assist for the Flyers in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Ducks.

Simmonds has been one of the few bright spots for the Flyers in an otherwise dreadful start to the year, having registered five goals and two helpers through four contests. While he hasn't spent any time in the sin bin yet, he'll surely garner his fair share of PIM as the year wears on. Mark Streit and Jakub Voracek also scored for Philadelphia in the losing effort.

Wayne Simmonds scored two times for the Flyers, who blew a big third-period lead in their 4-3 shootout loss to the Canadiens on Saturday night.

Sure, Philadelphia still earned a point, but this appeared like more of the same for a Flyers team that is leaky on the back end and really not all that good between the pipes as it saw a 3-0 lead early in the second period disappear. They have a great group of forwards, though, and Simmonds now has four goals and five points on the year. He is an excellent fantasy player, with 30-goal, 70-point upside, to go with 100-plus penalty minutes. Michael Raffl had the other goal in the loss.

Wayne Simmonds had no problems with New Jersey's defense in Thursday night's opener, notching three points.

He capped off the Flyers' big push to tie the game at three late in the second, with a sweet display of patience below the circle to make it 3-2. Then his trademark garbage goal to tie it 56 seconds later on the powerplay. Simmonds third point was the primary assist on Vincent Lecavalier's tying goal in the third, although it was merely a breakout pass.
