Scott Parse is looking to rebound from a pair of tough seasons, where he had surgery on both hips and he appeared in a combined 14 games with Los Angeles.
He skated in 59 contests with the Kings in 2009-10 in which he contributed 11 goals and 13 assists. Parse didn't get his name on the Stanley Cup because he didn't dress in any of the team's playoff matches. He signed with the Albany Devils this past off-season so that he could play during the NHL lockout, but he expects to get a two-way deal with the big club once it is over. Parse said he is healthy now and he will look to get back on track in the minors first. Mon, Oct 8, 2012 11:04:00 AM

Scott Parse (hip) said there's currently no timetable for his return.

"No, not right now," Parse said. "But the hip feels good, so I’m happy about that. … There’s no schedule." He joined the Kings for their practice on Friday. Kings coach Darryl Sutter said Parse looked "slow" and "behind" in the practice, so it doesn't sound like he's close to returning.

Rich Hammond of LAKings.com is reporting that Scott Parse will be out for the remainder of the season as he is to have surgery on both hips.

Hammond got the information from Kings GM Dean Lombardi while the official report coming out of Kings camp is that Parse will see a doctor in Nashville in early December to determine the next course of action. We'll go with Hammond on this one and declare him out of action the rest of the way.

Scott Parse's lower-body injury is considered day-to-day at this point.

"Nothing has changed. It hasn't improved, it hasn't gotten worse," said coach Terry Murray. "It's definitely more than a day-to-day situation with him. We'll have to make a decision on where this goes." He is eligible to come off injured reserve for Thursday's game in Anaheim if he's able. Stay tuned for updates.

Los Angeles Kings coach Terry Murray gave an unusual description to Scott Parse's injury: it's apparently a "little more than day-to-day."

What exactly that means is anyone's guess. Perhaps it means that he might miss a week or two, but it's a pretty vague description for whatever his "lower-body injury" is. He's unlikely to be a big part of your fantasy team anyway, but stay tuned for updates on Parse.

Los Angeles Kings winger Scott Parse exited Tuesday's game against the Nashville Predators after suffering a lower-body injury.

According to reports, Parse won't be back after leaving during the first period of a Nov. 8 contest. The severity of his injury is unclear at this time, but he's not a significant fantasy contributor so it will be a bigger loss for his real-life team.

Scott Parse will draw back into the Kings' lineup on Thursday night.

He played in the team's opening two games in Europe, but hasn't suited up since they returned to North America. Parse will replace enforcer Kevin Westgarth, but he will play alongside Mike Richards and Dustin Brown on the second line against Dallas, with Dustin Penner getting bumped to the third unit.

Scott Parse (hip) played in his first NHL game since November 15th on Saturday.

Parse played only 10:17 minutes and was held off the scoresheet in the Kings victory. Parse will likely stay in the Kings lineup as we would find it hard to believe that coach Terry Murray would upset a winning lineup. Look for Parse to get the opportunity to play with Anze Kopitar next season and would be a nice late round pick in deeper drafts if that happens.

Scott Parse (hip) has been given the green light to return from a medical perspective.

That being said, it remains to be seen whether or not the Kings will use Parse in their playoff opener on Thursday. Parse hasn't played since November 15th. Stay tuned.

Scott Parse (hip) was held off the ice on Monday and Tuesday.

"He needs to back off," coach Terry Murray. "It was very aggressive, when he came back, to get going again. He was having a little bit of an issue with some soreness. So the direction, to him right now, is to back off on the intensity of his workouts. Let it settle down and get back at it again." Parse was projected to return in early March, but that might not be the case. Stay tuned.
