Despite the loss, the Penguins did everything they needed to do to get back into the series, playing a much more urgent and structured game. Evgeni Malkin had 21 shot attempts, getting 10 on goal, while Kris Letang had eight shots on net and led the team with 40:50 of ice time. Iginla will be one of the more intriguing free agents on the market as he has 530 career goals in the regular season to go with 576 assists but his skills are eroding at this time in his career and the Penguins could likely find a better use for the money he will be asking for as a UFA.
