The move was a formality after coach John Tortorella declared Powe "good to go" on Monday. He's been sidelined since Feb. 17 but is a better real-life player than a fantasy option. He can safely be left on waivers in most formats.

He appeared unconscious and woozy when he skated off. "In a short period of time he’s made a big impression and he fits in really well here," Derek Stepan said of Powe, acquired from the Wild on Feb. 4. "He’s a big part of our team already. It was noticeable from his first game here."
