This campaign already represents a career-high for him in points as his previous best was in 2014-15 when he finished with 34. Patrick Maroon is tied for first in goals and is first in fights with Edmonton.

Maroon has 25 goals and nine fights respectively with Edmonton. He's always been a tough player, but his ability to find the back of the net at that pace is new to this season. Prior to 2016-17, his career-high in goals was the 12 he scored last season. He's becoming more selective when it comes to dropping the gloves though and he might have to trend further in that direction if he continues to develop into more of a skill player. "I probably have to slow down a little bit, my hands are starting to hurt," Maroon noted in reference to his fights. "Maybe hold off until April."
