Patrick Maroon is seeing plenty of ice time on the first line.
Maroon has been playing alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry and that has to be one of the best gigs in the NHL. "Here’s a big guy a lot of people would argue isn’t the greatest skater in the world, but he’s got really good hands for a big guy," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "He knows how to play offensively and he can play the physical part, and he sticks up for his teammates. When you’ve only been in this league for a little over two years, the consistency isn’t always there. That’s the only thing that’s plagued him during the course of the year. When he’s on top of his game, he’s a force for us. He’s back on that line because he has been consistent of late. There’s been no letdown in his game." Maroon has two goals and four points in five playoff games this season. May 2 - 6:20 AM

Patrick Maroon (flu) will return to the Ducks lineup Wednesday night versus the Dallas Stars.

Maroon missed one game due to flu-like symptoms but is ok to play Wednesday night. The gritty winger has nine goals and 34 points with 86 penalty minutes and 120 hits in 70 games played this season. He is expected to suit up on the fourth line with Chris Wagner and Tim Jackman.

Patrick Maroon missed Friday's game with the flu and also was unable to participate in Saturday's practice.

Maroon was on the ice before practice so it's anticipated he will be able to go on Wednesday when the Ducks take on the Dallas Stars. Maroon has nine goals and 34 points with a minus-four rating and 82 penalty minutes this season.
Apr 5 - 4:50 AM

Patrick Maroon didn't complete Wednesday's game due to an illness.

Anaheim was already up 4-1 when they made the call to shut Maroon down for the remainder of the contest. There's a good chance he'll be available for Friday's game.

Patrick Maroon fought Dalton Prout on Tuesday night in an effort to spark his Ducks back from a 4-3 deficit late in the second period.

Maroon didn't impact the score sheet otherwise, but does have four points and seven penalty minutes over his last five games. He now has 78 PIMs to go along with 32 points through 66 games this season. The Ducks would fall to the Blue Jackets 5-3.

Mar 23 - 8:54 AM

Patrick Maroon bounced back nicely after spending Friday's game in the press box.

"He won all the battles on the boards and got two assists," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said, assessing Maroon's performance on Sunday. "Probably feels pretty good about himself because he hadn't had too much production lately. That's the message we were trying to send. It was a good message and he got it." Despite being listed as a healthy scratch on Friday, Maroon is already back to playing alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.
Mar 17 - 10:33 AM

Patrick Maroon collected two helpers in Anaheim's four-goal third period in Sunday's 4-2 win over Nashville.

Maroon returned to the Ducks lineup on Sunday night after missing one game as a healthy scratch. While his assists weren't highlight reel worthy, he was still an effective member of the possession chain, doing the dirty work below the goal line. He now has 23 assists and 30 points this season.
Mar 16 - 12:02 AM

Patrick Maroon will be scratched against the Minnesota Wild on Friday night.

My how Maroon has fallen. It wasn't long ago that Maroon was skating on the first line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. Through 61 games this season, he has seven goals, 28 points, 71 PIMs, and 102 hits. However, he has just three points since February. A span of 19 games.

Patrick Maroon might be a healthy scratch on Friday.

That's quite the demotion given that Maroon was skating on the top line. However, Maroon's place alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry has been taken by Matt Beleskey, who is returning from a shoulder injury. Rather than move Maroon to another line, it looks like he just simply won't play.
Mar 13 - 12:47 PM

Patrick Maroon picked up two assists in Anaheim's 6-3 win over Calgary on Friday night.

It was Maroon's second helper on Jakob Silfverberg's tally to make it 5-2 late in the third period that was pretty. Maroon simply made a perfect pass under Kris Russell's outreached stick and onto Silf's streaking blade for the one-timer. Marron now has 21 assists and 28 points in 51 games this season.
Feb 21 - 2:26 AM

Patrick Maroon scored the lone goal for the Ducks in a 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

Maroon opened the scoring for both teams but unfortunately for Anaheim it was the only one for his team on the night. The goal was Maroon's seventh of the year and first goal since January 29th. Maroon is well on track to exceed his 29 points from last season as he has 26 through 50 games this season.
Feb 19 - 2:16 AM

Patrick Maroon picked up an assist on Friday to extend his points streak to four games.

Maroon has been getting time on the first line with Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf in what is one of the best gigs in the NHL. Maroon now has six goals and 25 points in 42 games this season and is worth picking up in most pools at this time.
