Patrick Maroon is hoping to make the Anaheim Ducks out of training camp.

Maroon has spent most of his career in the minors after being drafted in the sixth round by the Flyers but Maroon is able to score around the net and has some truculence that has allowed him to surpass 100 penalty minutes in four seasons. He is capable of playing on the first or fourth line or anywhere in between. At 25, Maroon needs to stick shortly or he will be a career minor leaguer with an occasional shot at the NHL. He is a waiver wire pickup at best as you have to see his role in the NHL, if any.
