Date:

Stu Bickel will be listed as a healthy scratch once again Wednesday night versus the Flames.

Bickel has not played in a game since January 3rd and has recorded just one assists in nine games played this season. When he is in the lineup, he has the ability to rack up serious penalty minutes with 46 this season, so those in daily leagues and in need of penalty minutes should keep Bickel on their watch list.

Feb 18 - 7:43 PM

The Minnesota Wild have summoned Stu Bickel.

Bickel has an assist and 46 penalty minutes in nine games with the wild this season. The 28-year-old forward should continue to be a reliable source of PIM whenever he's in the Wild's lineup.
Feb 10 - 4:58 PM

Minnesota has reassigned Stu Bickel to the AHL.

The Wild called up Matt Dumba to take his place. Bickel has one assist and 46 penalty minutes in nine NHL outings this season.
Jan 29 - 5:49 PM

Jan 26 - 1:33 PM

Bickel has been sent to AHL Iowa as a result. He has an assist and 46 penalty minutes in nine contests with Minnesota.
Jan 9 - 12:45 PM

Stu Bickel will back tag in Tuesday night against San Jose with Nate Prosser out sick with a stomach bug.

Don't let Bickel's big PIM number fool you, he picked up 39 minutes in the second period on Saturday in Dallas. After sitting for a two minute for unsportsmanlike conduct, he would fight Jason Demers not eight minutes later. In the process he picked up an instigator minor, a 10-minute misconduct, and a 10-minute game misconduct, plus a 10-minute aggressor penalty. Yep, Bickel went a bit batty.

Jan 6 - 7:58 PM

Stu Bickel set a Minnesota Wild franchise record with 39 penalty minutes in Saturday's loss to Dallas.

The Wild were down big in this game so it's clear they were a frustrated bunch. Most of Bickel's damage was done in one altercation when he dropped the gloves with Jason Demers in the second period. The 28-year-old picked up 37 of his 39 minutes in that sequence. What's even more impressive is the fact that Bickel managed to get all those penalty minutes in just 1:29 of ice time.
Jan 4 - 10:05 AM

Stu Bickel will tag back in at forward as Justin Fontaine and Taylor Graovac sit.

Bickel has no fantasy value.
Jan 3 - 7:31 PM

Stu Bickel has played in four consecutive games for the Wild and he's lined up on the back end for the last three.

He has spent most of his time at practices as a forward, but he's fit in nicely as a blueliner. Bickel has one assist in eight games this season. He doesn't have any fantasy value.
Jan 1 - 2:01 PM

Stu Bickel will yet again be a healthy scratch for the Wild Wednesday night versus the Canadiens.

Bickel has played in just three games for the Wild this year with nothing to show for on the stat sheet besides two penalty minutes and plus one rating. He is not a fantasy contributor for the time being. Christian Folin will instead suit up in place of the sick Ryan Suter.

Stu Bickel was in the Minnesota lineup against Dallas Friday night.

He didn't do anything in 3:41 of playing time. Justin Fontaine sat in the press box allowing Bickel his chance. Don't be surprised if the situations are reversed Saturday night against St. Louis.

Stu Bickel will remain in the press box Monday night versus Florida.

Bickel sat out Saturday night as well and will remain in warm-up suits when the Wild take on the Florida Panthers. Bickel doesnt't offer much fantasy value if he's not in the lineup accruing penalty minutes.

Stu Bickel will be a healthy scratch Saturday night against Tampa.

He was called up Thursday but only played 2:04 in the 3-2 win over Philly and will now sit in the press box. You can't get penalty minutes if you don't get on the ice. Bickel is therefore worthless from a fantasy perspective.
