Stu Bickel will yet again be a healthy scratch for the Wild Wednesday night versus the Canadiens.
Bickel has played in just three games for the Wild this year with nothing to show for on the stat sheet besides two penalty minutes and plus one rating. He is not a fantasy contributor for the time being. Christian Folin will instead suit up in place of the sick Ryan Suter. Dec 3 - 6:54 PM

Stu Bickel will be a healthy scratch Saturday after playing Friday night.

Bickel had just got into the lineup Friday night, but will be back to being a healthy scratch Saturday versus the Blues. Justin Fontanine will take his spot in the lineup. Keith Ballard will also be a healthy scratch for the Wild.
Nov 29 - 7:36 PM

Stu Bickel was in the Minnesota lineup against Dallas Friday night.

He didn't do anything in 3:41 of playing time. Justin Fontaine sat in the press box allowing Bickel his chance. Don't be surprised if the situations are reversed Saturday night against St. Louis.
Nov 29 - 1:21 PM

Stu Bickel will remain in the press box Monday night versus Florida.

Bickel sat out Saturday night as well and will remain in warm-up suits when the Wild take on the Florida Panthers. Bickel doesnt't offer much fantasy value if he's not in the lineup accruing penalty minutes.
Nov 24 - 6:56 PM

Stu Bickel will be a healthy scratch Saturday night against Tampa.

He was called up Thursday but only played 2:04 in the 3-2 win over Philly and will now sit in the press box. You can't get penalty minutes if you don't get on the ice. Bickel is therefore worthless from a fantasy perspective.
Nov 22 - 2:19 PM

Stu Bickel will enter Minnesota's lineup on Thursday night.

Bickel was called up by the Wild earlier this month and has played in one game for them this season. The 28-year-old will take Kyle Brodziak's place in the lineup.
Nov 20 - 5:47 PM

Stu Bickel has been called up by Minnesota.

He has three assists and 30 penalty minutes in nine games for Iowa in the AHL this season.
Nov 13 - 12:04 PM

Stu Bickel has been reassigned to the minors.

He skated as a forward and a defenseman during Thursday's morning session, but the Wild decided that calling up Stephane Veilleux to play on the fourth line was a better fit. To bring up Veilleux the team had to send down Bickel.
Oct 30 - 3:52 PM

Stu Bickel has been called up by the Minnesota Wild.

Bickel started the season with the Wild, but didn't actually play in a game. He was subsequently put on waivers and sent to AHL Iowa after going unclaimed. He has no points and five penalty minutes in four AHL games this season.
Oct 28 - 4:49 PM

Stu Bickel has successfully cleared waivers.

Bickel has been sent to AHL Iowa. That has created an opening on the roster for Justin Fontaine, who will probably return from his leg injury on Friday.
Oct 14 - 3:06 PM

Stu Bickel was placed on waivers by the Wild on Monday.

Justin Fontaine is ready to come off injured reserve, so a roster spot was required. Bickel was used mostly as a forward at training camp, but he plays defense as well.
Oct 14 - 9:54 AM

Minnesota coach Mike Yeo has indicated he will likely go with the same lineup that defeated Colorado Thursday night against the Avs Saturday night.

That means the Stu Bickel will sit in the press box again. Bickel had a tremendous camp and earned a spot on the roster as a rover, a player who is capable of playing both defense and wing. Yeo will obviously pick his spots to start Bickel, but when he does, expect Bickel to amass a healthy dose of penalty minutes.
Oct 11 - 1:11 PM

Stu Bickel dressed as a forward in Thursday's preseason game against Pittsburgh.

He's a defenseman by trade, but he has played as a winger before. Bickel skated with Brett Sutter and Cody Almond in the contest. His versatility could earn him a spot on Minnesota's roster as an extra to start the year. He agreed to a two-way deal with the Wild in the summer.
Sep 26 - 10:48 AM

Minnesota has signed Stu Bickel to a one-year, two-way contract.

He skated in just 24 games for Hartford in the AHL last season, where he picked up eight points and 85 penalty minutes.
Jul 1 - 5:55 PM

The New York Rangers came to the conclusion that it was best to waive defenseman Stu Bickel on Sunday.

He was already marginalized in John Tortorella's system, so it's no surprise that Alain Vigneault decided that he wasn't worth having on the everyday roster. Injuries could force him in, though.
