The Dallas Stars have signed Adam Cracknell to a one-year, two-way deal.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed. The 30-year-old had five goals and 10 points in 52 games with the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks in 2015-16. Cracknell will have an opportunity to earn a regular role with the Stars in training camp, but he'll likely spend at least a portion of the year in the AHL. Jul 3 - 2:53 PM

Date:

Adam Cracknell, Anton Lander, and Luke Gazdic will be scratched Saturday against the Canucks.

Unfortunately, there isn't a lick of value between them. Which is especially disappointing from Lander as it appears he cannot translate his skills to the game's highest level.

Adam Cracknell will be scratched against Arizona on Tuesday night.

Through six games with the Oilers, the veteran forward has no points with four PIMs and 20 hits. Unfortunately, he just doesn't boast any fantasy value.

Through 43 games this season the 30-year-old career tweener has posted five goals, 10 points, and 93 hits while averaging 12:28 of ice time per night. From here, Cracknell can be sent to the AHL, cut, traded, or kept with the team. But, for now, his league minimum $575K salary is coming off the books.

Adam Cracknell and Andrey Pedan will both be scratched against Carolina on Friday night.

The noted scorer Cracknell has posted three goals and eight points in 36 games this season. Okay, perhaps that's what he's known for, but he does have 84 hits against just six PIMs which is really impressive. And also potentially valuable for any pool that rewards hits.
