Peter Mannino was saddled with his first loss in his NHL career as the Hurricanes came-from-behind to defeat the Islanders 5-4 on Friday night.

Mannino stopped 32 of the 37 shots that he faced but it was not enough to earn him the victory. With nothing much to play for this season, it looks like the Islanders will test out Mannino to see where he fits in the future for them. But with Rick DiPietro signed to such a long-termed deal, and a plethora of goalies available during this off-season, Mannino will be hard-pressed to find a starting NHL gig next season.
