| 3 | Alexander Burmistrov ActiveAccording to two league sources, Alexander Burmistrov has no intention of re-signing with the Winnipeg Jets. He is slated for restricted free agency. Burmistrov reportedly wanted to be dealt at the trade deadline and despite discussions with Ottawa, Buffalo and the New York Islanders, the Jets were unsuccessful in moving him. His agent, Mark Gandler, wouldn't say much about the matter, but he did say that "Alex is not going to sign in the KHL." Burmistrov hasn't been very productive in three seasons, with 23 goals and 35 assists in 194 career contests, but he's still just 21 years of age so it might be too early to label him as a bust. He is 10 for 19 in his career during the NHL's breakaway competition, which gives him some value to the Winnipeg Jets down the stretch. "I'm glad it went in," Santorelli said. "I'll help any way I can. I just kind of read off the goalie. I've got a couple of moves. I just go in thinking of one and take whatever. Today my was first one but I was a little bit nervous. I'm glad we got the extra point." The Jets are tied with the New York Rangers for the final playoff spot so any extra points they can muster in shootouts could be the difference down the stretch. I’ve been trying to contribute and I think I have with my size, but scoring is something I have to do as well," said Tangradi. "Hopefully this will give me more opportunity and I can build on this." He scored just 11 points in 72 games last season, but registered 151 hits and 83 penalty minutes. "Maybe it'll be that this break will be a blessing in disguise, that guys like myself, crashing and banging every night, will have rested their wounds and when it's time to get back at it, we'll go full tilt." The first couple games were an adjustment, and then I got a little injured there for a little bit, and then when I came back I felt fine. I felt like I could keep up and I could play how I play at that level. So it went well." He recorded a goal and two assists in seven contests, while logging 13 minutes of average ice time per game.
