The Predators have called up Trevor Smith from AHL Milwaukee.

Nashville is dealing with a bad case of food poisoning, which has led to plenty of call ups from the minors. The veteran AHL'er Smith has just 20 points in 106 career NHL games. Now in his age-31 season, we wouldn't expect much from him.

Smith spent the 2015-16 campaign in the Swiss league, scoring three goals and five points in 17 contests. He also has nine goals and 20 points in 106 career NHL games. If he plays in the NHL, he can earn $575,000 annually in 2016-17 and $650,000 in 2017-18.

Trevor Smith (upper body injury) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game versus the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Smith will miss his second consecutive game due to the injury after taking a massive hit by Zdeno Chara in Saturday’s game in Boston. With only two games remaining for the Leafs, Smith probably won’t play another game this season. He scored two goals and three assists with a minus nine rating and 12 penalty minutes in 54 games played.

Trevor Smith was knocked out of Saturday's 2-1 shootout loss to Boston.

Smith was rocked by Bruins' defenseman Zdeno Chara in the first period. Smith got up and skated back to the bench but he was bleeding and wobbly as he headed for the locker room. The team says he suffered an upper body injury. Smith's season might be over.

Trevor Smith (undisclosed) is questionable for Thursday's game.

Smith has two goals and five points in 50 contests with Toronto in 2014-15. The 30-year-old shouldn't be on your radar if you're in a standard fantasy league.

It appears that Trevor Smith will also be a healthy scratch for the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday.

Smith did not play on Tuesday because of personal reasons. Either way, he's unlikely to make a huge on-ice impact with just three points in 35 games this season.

Trevor Smith scored his first goal of the season in Wednesday’s 6-2 loss to Washington.

Smith is nothing more than a depth player for the Leafs. His goal tonight gives him just three points in 25 games this season. The Leafs responded with a dud in their first game since firing coach Randy Carlyle. This game was actually tied 1-1 early in the second period, but Washington eventually took over, scoring three goals in the second frame. Daniel Winnik also scored for Toronto.
