Dec 1 - 5:06 PM

Clayton Stoner (mumps) has been placed on the injured reserve list.

Stoner hasn't played since Nov. 20, so he can be activated at any time. The Ducks are calling him day-to-day. He has no points and 16 penalty minutes in 20 contests this season.
Nov 28 - 6:20 PM

Clayton Stoner's illness has been confirmed to be the mumps.

It was previously reported that Stoner had mild mumps-like symptoms, but he rejoined the Ducks for a skate on Friday. At the time he said that he was feeling better. He's being listed as day-to-day.
Nov 28 - 3:59 PM

Clayton Stoner (illness) will probably rejoin the Ducks on Friday.

Stoner, who had some mild mumps-like symptoms, was able to skate with the Ducks on Tuesday. "I'm feeling better," Stoner said. "I just had some mumps-like symptoms that we needed to take full precaution. I was a little bit rundown and glands were a little sore. I wasn't sick or (had) fever in the hospital or anything like that. I just had the symptoms. We wanted to be smart in here and make sure we’re not putting anyone else at risk." He has no points and 16 penalty minutes in 20 games.
Nov 26 - 7:59 AM

Clayton Stoner (illness) skated with the Ducks on Tuesday.

There was some concern that Stoner might have the mumps and while the Ducks haven't made an official statement confirming or denying that yet, we doubt they would allow him to be with his teammates if he was dealing with the disease. He has 16 penalty minutes in 20 games this season.
Nov 25 - 1:11 PM

Clayton Stoner (illness) skated before his teammates on Monday, but is still being kept away from the Ducks.

Anaheim is waiting to find out if Stoner has the mumps as he has displayed similar symptoms. The Ducks' Corey Perry and Francois Beauchemin previously battled the mumps, although both of them have returned to the lineup at this point.
Nov 25 - 9:51 AM

Clayton Stoner will miss Sunday's tilt with "mumps-like symptoms," the Ducks have announced.

After Corey Perry and Francois Beauchemin missed significant time with the mumps earlier in the month, it's no surprise that the Ducks are being cautious with Stoner. Matt Clark will draw in as a result.
Nov 23 - 7:34 PM

Clayton Stoner was unable to make it through a full practice on Saturday due to an illness.

In 20 games, the former Minnesota Wild blueliner has yet to pick up a point and is a minus-four with 16 penalty minutes. Needless to say, he has no fantasy value at this time and consider him a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup.
Nov 23 - 4:09 AM

Clayton Stoner is likely to start the season as part of the third defensive pairing with Sami Vatanen.

Stoner signed a four-year deal on free agent frenzy day July 1 after spending his whole career with the Minnesota Wild. Although he does not consider himself a fighter, Stoner certainly can take care of himself and his teammates in that area as he had 84 penalty minutes in 63 games. He is not much of a scorer with only five points last season but he is capable of 100-125 hits and 60-75 blocked shots if he can stay healthy.
Oct 4 - 4:49 AM

The Anaheim Ducks' willingness to give Clayton Stoner a fourth year played a big role in him signing with the team.

Stoner inked a four-year, $13 million contract on July 1. He had five points and 84 penalty minutes in 63 games with Minnesota last season. "As a player on a different team, you always look at Anaheim as being a beautiful place to live," Stoner said. "But at the same time, it’s amazing what they've done as an organization. A lot of times, the warmer climates aren't big hockey meccas, and sometimes the teams aren't as good, but Anaheim goes completely against that."
Jul 2 - 8:12 AM

Clayton Stoner has agreed to a four-year, $13 million contract with Anaheim.

Stoner had five points and 84 penalty minutes in 63 games in 2013-14. Even if you're looking for a source of penalty minutes, you can do better than Stoner in standard leagues.
