Dec 4 - 2:45 PM

Dwight King scored the go-ahead goal and added another 25 seconds later in the third as the Los Angeles Kings defeated the New York Islanders 4-2 Wednesday night.

The game was tight until a flurry of goals by the Islanders in the third. Alec Martinez scored first in the opening period and then the game went scoreless through the second. The Islanders’ Anders Lee tied the game at 4:27 in the third and it was only at the very end that the shooters became unstoppable. King’s back-to-back goals at 17:07 and 17:32 were followed less than 20 seconds later by a Jake Muzzin shot into an empty net at 17:51. This was one of those games where fantasy owners don’t want to stop watching until the points’ totals are tallied.

Dwight King scored in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators.

King opened the scoring at the 00:56 mark of the second period. Unfortunately for the Kings, they collapsed late, as they allowed the Sens to tie the game with under four minutes remaining and they watched as Ottawa scored the go-ahead goal with seven seconds remaining in regulation. King has two goals and three assists in 15 games.

Dwight King will ascend back up to LA's first line in Friday's Game 5 against San Jose.

King will skate to the left of Anze Kopitar and Marian Gaborik, just has he did in Game 3's victory. Despite playing on the top line and skating in each game, King is still without a point in the series.

Dwight King (foot) isn't expected to resume skating for another two weeks.

This comes after a previous report that King is a couple weeks away from returning in general. This might not be an indication that he'll take longer than previously projected to return though as he might be available to return to the lineup shortly after his foot is good enough to skate on.

Dwight King is still a couple of weeks away from returning to action from a broken bone in his foot.

King suffered the broken bone just before the start of the regular season and has not been on the ice as of yet. King is expected to see doctors this week and then it's likely he will be back on the ice. GM Dean Lombardi stated that King is likely two to two-and-a-half weeks away from returning to the lineup. He had 13 goals and 26 points in 81 games last season and the Kings could use his secondary scoring in their lineup.
