Dwight King has a goal and four assists in his last seven games.
That's not bad, especially considering King had no points in his first 12 games. He is a fringe fantasy player in the deepest of leagues at this time and only because of his recent streak. Mar 5 - 9:42 AM

The Los Angeles Kings have given qualifying offers to seven players including Dwight King.

King was a stud for the Kings in the playoffs, especially in the third round when he potted four goals in the series. Justin Azevado, Jake Muzzin, Stefan Legein, Andrew Campbell, Thomas Hickey and David Meckler were also given qualifying offers while minor leaguer Ray Kaunisto was not. The qualifying offers allow the Kings to match any offer from another NHL team, allowing them to keep the player.

Dwight King is on a three-game goal scoring streak.

King has five goals in his last five games, which is enough to match his regular season goal scoring total. In the Western Conference Finals alone, King has four goals to the Phoenix Coyotes' three. The Kings' star players have been pulling their weight, but part of the reason they've been so dominant is that some their depth and young players have exceeded expectations.

Dwight King continued his torrid pace in the Western Conference final as he potted the winner in the Kings' 2-1 win over Phoenix in Game 3 Thursday.

King had only one playoff goal heading into the third round but has scored four times in the last three games to lead the Kings to a 3-0 best of seven series lead. He is playing on the third line with Jarret Stoll and Trevor Lewis and is giving the Kings added scoring depth from an unexpected source. While he is unlikely to have much fantasy value next season, he could be worth keeping an eye on in very deep leagues.

Dwight King scored two goals in the Kings' 4-2 victory on Sunday.

King had five goals in 27 regular season games and now has three goals in 10 playoff contests. He does have some offensive upside, but he shouldn't be counted on to have much fantasy value next season.

Reports indicate that Los Angeles Kings winger Dwight King won't face supplementary discipline for his hit from behind on St. Louis Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo.

The Blues were upset that Kings only received a two-minute minor penalty for the check. Pietrangelo is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, so it's a bit surprising that the NHL isn't taking a further look at it.

Dwight King could find himself chatting with Brendan Shanahan for his hit from behind on the Blues' Alex Pietrangelo.

King only picked up a minor for his infraction but it appears that Pietrangelo may have a concussion and the NHL will not like that. King could get suspended for his hit as the league is looking to crack down on head shots. Stay tuned.
