Brian Lashoff was minus-one in 20 minutes of action Saturday.
Coach Mike Babcock put Lashoff into the lineup to replace the injured Dan DeKeyser as he felt Lashoff was a better fit than veterans Ian White and Carlo Colaiacovo who sat in the press box. Lashoff was second on the Red Wings in time on ice, trailing only Niklas Kronwall. Look for Lashoff to play again in Game 4 based on his ice time. May 5 - 8:30 AM

It turns out that Brian Lashoff was not sent to the minors on Monday.

Coach Mike Babcock said that Lashoff was going to the minors on Monday to get in some playing time but the Red Wings had already used up all four callups allowed after the April 3 deadline so it was not possible to send him down and recall him without three injuries on the blueline. "It was just a misunderstanding with Mike Babcock," GM Ken Holland said Monday. "I agree with him that we'd rather have Lashoff playing in the minors than not playing in Detroit, but the rules don't allow it. We don't want to not be able to recall him unless we have three injuries."
Apr 16 - 8:48 AM

The Detroit Red Wings have sent Brian Lashoff to the minors.

"Right now with the amount of guys we have, it's better for me to play games than sitting and watching," Lashoff said. "It'll be good to go down there. After the lockout (ended) they kept playing well and it'll be fun to go down there and go into the playoffs. "I have an itch to play. I've played almost 70 games already (including with Grand Rapids during the lockout) and not playing right now is a little odd for me. It'll be good to get some games." Lashoff has a goal and five points in 31 games with a minus-10.
