Falk tied the game at 2-2 at the 17:10 mark of the second period in Buffalo's 4-3 loss to the New York Rangers. It was his first point in 22 appearances this campaign and just his third goal in 245 career NHL games.

Justin Falk got into a shoving and shouting match with teammate Evander Kane at Wednesday's practice.

Falk apparently called Kane selfish at one point during a physical practice in what has been a dismal season for the Sabres. "Just spur of the moment. Emotions running high. This time of year, where we're at," Falk said. "Personally everyone's got a different situation they're in. Just in the heat of the moment it boiled over." He has been a healthy scratch three of the last four games.

This will be the second time in a row that he'll watch the Sabres play from the press box. He has no points and a minus-3 rating in 17 games this season. Josh Gorges and Scott Wilson will also serve as scratches for the Sabres in this one.

Falk has not played yet this season due to an undisclosed lower-body injury. He is slated to be paired with Victor Antipin. In 52 games last year, Falk produced eight assists and 29 penalty minutes.
