Part of the reason for Matt Beleskey's struggles may be that he is not completely healthy.

At least that's what Boston coach Bruce Cassidy thinks. Beleskey, who has only registered two assists in eight games since coming back from a knee injury that sidelined him for seven weeks, was a healthy scratch Saturday night. Said Cassidy of his choice to sit Beleskey: "That’s part of it. It’s not punishment. With his injury, we’ve got to get him back up to playing speed, playing pace." . . . The injury sustained Saturday night by Matt Beleskey is to his right hip and could sideline him for at least a few games.

He took a clean hip check from Sabre defenseman Taylor Fedun and left the game with seconds left in the first period. Beleskey will be re-evaluated Monday. For now consider him day-to-day.
