Mar 20 - 4:03 PM

Matt Beleskey has been playing well on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.

"Yeah, he's played really well of late," coach Bruce Boudreau said. "Whatever line he's been going on has been really good. You need that. I think he's a good player and we need him to play well." Beleskey has produced two goals and five assists during his five-game scoring streak. Playing on the top line gives him a significant boost and he could be worth taking a flier on because of his promotion.

Matt Beleskey will get back in Anaheim's lineup Monday night after he suffered a broken thumb in the team's second game of the year.

He's projected to play with Nick Bonino and Teemu Selanne on the Ducks' second line. Beleskey can provide penalty minutes and some points, but there are probably better options out there from a fantasy perspective.

Matt Beleskey is still unable to practice after breaking his thumb over two weeks ago.

There is currently no timetable for his return. He has no points with nine penalty minutes in just two games and was slated to be a top-six forward before the injury as he had replaced Jakob Silfverberg on the second line when Silfverberg was out at the start of the season. Well, Silfverberg is now out four-six weeks so there is an opening again on the second line.

Matt Beleskey has moved up to the second line with the injury to Jakob Silfverberg.

The move is temporary as Silfverberg should be back within a week but Beleskey should get a little more fantasy value if he remains on a scoring line. He had 13 points, 56 penalty minutes and 103 hits in 42 games last season so he has some value in pools with the latter two categories.

Matt Beleskey responded well to Bruce Boudreau taking over as the Ducks head coach.

"Hockey's a big confidence game," Beleskey said. "For a little bit, I kind of lost that scoring touch. It all comes with opportunity. Bruce has put me in different situations and got me some more opportunities. Taking advantage of it is a big part." Beleskey had 13 points, 56 penalty minutes, and 103 hits in 42 games last season. He inked a two-year/$2.7 million extension with the Ducks.
