Matt Beleskey (foot) was able to participate in Saturday's preseason game.
Beleskey was injured on Monday, but fortunately it wasn't serious. "I definitely did not want a broken foot to start the year, so I’m glad that I was fine," said Beleskey. "I took a puck in the face during warm-ups and the shot to the foot in the third, so that’s quite a good start to the year. But hopefully, I’ve got those out of the way now." He had three goals and eight points in 49 games last season. Sep 24 - 4:03 AM

Matt Belsekey, who injured his foot in Monday's pre-season opener against Montreal, returned to practice Friday.

The Bruins expect Belesky to suit up in one of the team's next two games. If youngsters Anders Bjoork and Jake DeBrusk hold down the two top-line jobs they are competing for, Belesky is looking at a third or fourth-line role. That will make him relatively meaningless from a fanatasy perspective to start the season.
