Matt Beleskey (shoulder) might be ready to return during Anaheim's next homestand.
That could make him available for a game against the Predators on Mar. 15, but his timetable is far from certain. Beleskey has started to shoot the puck again and he can take some one-timers. He hasn't played since Feb. 15 because of a shoulder injury. Mar 4 - 3:11 PM

The Ducks are getting calls on Matt Beleskey, according to ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun.

Of course, the complication is that Beleskey, an unrestricted free agent, has been important to the Ducks this season, and they have hopes of going far in the playoffs. Beleskey has 21 goals and 30 points, in what has been a career season. The forward is out with a shoulder injury but has recently started to skate again.
Feb 28 - 8:37 PM

Matt Beleskey is nervous with the trade deadline approaching on Monday.

Beleskey is currently out with a shoulder injury but he was having his best NHL season to day before getting hurt as he had 21 goals and 30 points in 56 games. The problem is that Beleskey is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1 and the Ducks may want to get something for him as he is expected to get a huge raise. "You’re always sweating out the trade deadline days," Beleskey said. "Being unrestricted right now, I’m sure it’s got a little more to it. It’s totally out of my hands at this point so I try not to worry about it." Beleskey has missed six games thus far but the good news is that he has started skating once again.
Feb 28 - 5:37 AM

Coach Bruce Boudreau is hopeful that Matt Beleskey (shoulder) will resume skating by the end of the week.

He has missed four games already with a shoulder injury and he won't play Wednesday night either.
Feb 25 - 6:38 PM

Matt Beleskey will miss the next two-to-four weeks due to his upper-body injury.

Beleskey sustained the injury during Sunday's game against Washington. He has 21 goals and 30 points in 56 games in 2014-15. With Beleskey unavailable, we might see Jakob Silfverberg work his way onto a scoring line.
Feb 17 - 3:51 PM

Matt Beleskey left Sunday's game against Washington after going into the boards awkwardly.

Beleskey popped right back up on his skates, but he eventually went to Anaheim's dressing room. The team has already announced that he will not return to the game. The 26-year-old is having a career year in 2014-15. He has 21 goals in 56 games this season. We'll have more information as soon as another update is provided.
Feb 15 - 9:14 PM

Matt Beleskey padded his case for a raise in his contract talks on Thursday night, as he lead the Ducks to a 2-1 win over Carolina with a goal and an assist.

Beleskey now has 30 points in 55 games this season and is months away from becoming an unrestricted free agent. Both his points came in the second period, where he assisted on Francois Beauchemin's goal and then scored the game winner three minutes later.
Feb 12 - 10:25 PM

Matt Beleskey and the Ducks are negotiating on a new contract.

Beleskey, who scored his 20th of the season on Thursday, can become a UFA at the end of the season. He is enjoying his breakout season at age 27 and is looking for a multi-year deal. "Talks are continuing, and we are hopeful that we will be able to get something done," Beleskey's agent Murray Kuntz said. "It’s an ongoing process and I honestly can tell you that both sides want to find a solution. As mentioned previously, Matt’s priority is to stay in Anaheim with the Ducks. We haven’t set any deadlines, and to my knowledge neither have they. We will continue to work with the Ducks management in the hopes of keeping Matt in Anaheim for a very long time." Stay tuned.
Feb 7 - 5:59 AM

Matt Beleskey skated on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry during Monday's practice.

Patrick Maroon was knocked down to the second line as a result. Given that Getzlaf and Perry are two of the top forwards in the NHL, this is naturally good news for Beleskey and a problem for anyone that owns Maroon.
Feb 3 - 8:20 AM

Matt Beleskey put home his 19th goal of the season as Anaheim fell to San Jose 6-3 on Thursday night.

It was a classic garbage goal as Beleskey put home the rebound Ryan Kesler set up for him. Beleskey finished the night with two shots and hits, and one block in 14:47 of work. He also now shares the team lead in goals with Corey Perry.
Jan 30 - 3:08 AM

Matt Beleskey scored his 18th of the year in the Ducks' 4-0 win over Vancouver on Tuesday.

Beleskey opened the scoring on a slap shot that somehow got past the glove of Ryan Miller. The goal turned out to be all the Ducks needed against a punch-less Vancouver team. Four different Ducks recorded goals as Kyle Palmieri, Patrick Maroon and Rickard Rickell all got on the score sheet. The Ducks have won six in row.
Jan 28 - 1:19 AM

Matt Beleskey had an eventful night with an assist and fight in his return to the lineup on Friday night.

After Coach Boudreau sat him for a game, Beleskey got the primary assist on Hampus Lindholm's goal in the second period, which proved to be the eventual game-winner. He would later answer Tim Sestito's bell call in the third. Beleskey now has 17 goals and 23 points with 29 PIMs on the season.
Jan 17 - 1:36 AM

Matt Beleskey will return to the Ducks lineup and skate as the fourth line left wing with Rickard Rakell and Devante Smith-Pelly against New Jersey on Friday night.

Beleskey was made a healthy scratch on Wednesday night despite being the second leading scorer on the team with 17 goals, and is shooting at an astounding 16.7%. In addition he's fourth on the team in hits with 97, but Coach Boudreau must be looking for more from the 26 year old. Here's a good opportunity for him to deliver.
Jan 16 - 8:09 PM

Matt Beleskey is a healthy scratch for the Ducks' tilt with Toronto on Wednesday.

Beleskey will sit in the press box despite leading the team with 17 goals. Rene Bourgue will draw into the lineup. It seems he is in Bruce Boudreau's dog house for the time being. Get him out of your lineups if you still can.
Jan 14 - 9:53 PM

Matt Beleskey has been practicing on the fourth line for the past two days.

Beleskey was playing on the second line with Ryan Kesler and Kyle Palmieri. Now it looks like Rene Bourque might take his spot. Beleskey has 17 goals and 22 points in 43 games this season.
