The combination of Matt Beleskey, Austin Czarnik and Jimmy Hayes has been quiet offensively after the first two games of the regular season.
They haven't picked up a point between them and have combined for a minus-9 rating. "The lines in between, you're hoping you can get a little bit more," coach Claude Julien said. "In Austin's case, since he's come back from the injury, he hasn't quite been the same player. You hope he can find his stride again. Beleskey and Hayes have played hard. But no results." Matt Beleskey scored in Thursday's 2-1 preseason win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Beleskey scored the first goal of the game at the 2:34 mark of the first period. Colin Miller and Christian Ehrhoff picked up the assists on the Bruins' first goal. Seth Griffin also found the back of the net for Boston. Bruins goalie Anton Khudobin stopped all 11 shots he faced, while Malcolm Subban turned aside 16 of 17 shots.

Beleskey tweeted those words to Vesey's Twitter account after it was announced that the college free agent had signed with New York. The Bruins, who are Vesey's hometown team, were in the mix for his services, but they were unable to convince him to join their squad.
