Jamie McBain is expected to be watching from the press box Monday night against Arizona.

McBain hasn’t seen game action since February 26th and hasn’t registered a point since February 9th, a span of eight games. In his other 18 games, he did record three goals and five assists, however. Either way, he shouldn’t be owned in any fantasy leagues.
Mar 16 - 5:53 PM

McBain has played 26 games this season, posting nine points, 21 hits, and 28 blocks. And over his last 10 games, he's amassed two points, six hits, and 15 blocks.

Jamie McBain and Andy Andreoff will be scratched against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night.

McBain has played in half of his 26 games this season since the turn of the calendar, 10 of which in February alone. He's collected two points, four penalty minutes, six hits, and 15 blocks in that time. That is not enough to draw into your fantasy lineup.

Feb 6 - 9:49 AM

Jamie McBain and Nick Shore will be scratched Tuesday night against the Washington Capitals.

McBain has just 16 games to his credit, and we're in the fifth month of the season. Making it difficult for him to accumulate fantasy value. Shore meanwhile has just one point during his first five NHL games, but he's put up 34 goals and 82 points in 106 games for AHL Manchester since last season. Continue to keep an eye on the 22 year old forward.

Feb 3 - 7:01 PM

Jamie McBain and Andy Andreoff are expected to sit out Saturday's tilt against the Boston Bruins.

Two goals and seven points through 16 games is pretty good for a defenseman, but when you're 27 years old and you've been on the roster most of the season, it's hard to recommend McBain as a source of points from the blue line. Andreoff has appeared in just 11 games himself this season, with no value to show for it.

Jan 31 - 5:58 PM

Jamie McBain and Andy Andreoff will both be healthy scratches Wednesday against Chicago.

Jamie McBain and Nick Shore are both healthy scratches for Monday's game against Toronto.

Jan 12 - 10:40 PM

Jamie McBain, Jordan Nolan, and Andy Andreoff are all expected to be healthy scratches against the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday night.

While Andreoff has only cracked the Kings' lineup nine times this season, he has put up five goals and ten points in seven games with 11 PIMs for AHL Manchester. In addition, he scored 11 goals and 35 points with 133 PIMs in 74 games last season in Manchester. So keep an eye out for him should he gain consistent ice time with LA.

Jan 10 - 8:29 PM

Defenseman Jamie McBain will be in the lineup Thursday against Vancouver.

Kings head coach Darryl Sutter hinted that he was going to change his lines at the morning practice and sure enough he followed through. McBain will suit up while Brayden McNabb will be scratched. McBain was just scratched in the Kings last game but will be back in Thursday where he will look to add to his two goals and four assists in 13 contests on the year.
Jan 1 - 10:02 PM

Jamie McBain had two assists for the Kings on Saturday.

McBain has been a healthy scratch on a few occasions this season as it was his first game since November 29. The Kings are pretty deep on the blueline, even with Slava Voynov under suspension. It was the 11th multi-point game of 26-year-old's career and he now has a goal and five points in 10 games and a goal and four points in his last four games played.

Jamie McBain and Jordan Nolan will be healthy scratches in Montreal on Friday night.

With four points in 27 combined games between McBain and Nolan, it's no wonder why they're sitting once again. Neither are of any fantasy value, even in the deepest of leagues.
