Jonas Gustavsson (illness) is expected to travel with the team to Buffalo.

Boston is set to face the Sabres on Thursday, but Gustavsson might not be a part of that contest. Even though he's set to travel with the Bruins, he hasn't received medical clearance to play.
Feb 3 - 1:46 PM

Jonas Gustavsson took part in the morning skate on Tuesday after exiting a game on Jan. 26 against Anaheim with an elevated heart rate.

Coach Claude Julien said that Gustavsson has been cleared to practice, but not to play in games yet so he remains on injured reserve. Malcolm Subban served as Tuukka Rask's backup on Tuesday night.
Feb 3 - 7:44 AM

Boston is still waiting for final test results on Jonas Gustavsson.

He has been placed on injured reserve until those results arrive. "Pending those final test results, he will be cleared for full participation by our medical staff," said GM Don Sweeney.
Feb 1 - 2:20 PM

Jonas Gustavsson is listed on injured reserve on Boston's website.

The roster also has Malcolm Subban on it even though the Bruins haven't announced his recall from the minors yet. It was though that Gustavsson would be able to rejoin the team after the NHL All-Star break pending clearance from the medical staff, but that doesn't appear as though it will be the case.
Feb 1 - 12:57 PM

Jonas Gustavsson has been released from the hospital after he remained there overnight for observation for an elevated heart rate.

"All preliminary tests came back negative and he was discharged Wednesday afternoon," the Bruins said in a release. "Jonas is expected to rejoin the team after the NHL All-Star break pending clearance from the Bruins medical staff." He was sent to the hospital for precautionary reasons after he left Tuesday's game with an "illness."
Jan 28 - 7:51 AM

The Bruins wouldn't say and coach Claude Julien didn't know if Jonas Gustavsson left Tuesday's game because of an issue related to his heart.

He exited the match after the first period due to an illness and went to the hospital for observation. Gustavsson has had at least three surgeries on his heart to treat a condition that caused an abnormal rhythm.
Jan 27 - 9:39 AM

It turns out that Jonas Gustavsson left Tuesday's match with Anaheim due to illness, and went to Massachusetts General Hospital for observation.

Hopefully The Monster feels better soon.
Jan 26 - 8:47 PM

Jonas Gustavsson was yanked after just one period of play Tuesday night against Anaheim.

Gustavsson stopped just 14 of 16 shots the Ducks sent his way, and one of those goals was on the power play. The Monster never appeared injured, so this is likely a message from Coach Claude Julien to his team. Tuukka Rask came in down 2-1 to begin the second fram.
Jan 26 - 8:13 PM

Jonas Gustavsson will face New Jersey on Tuesday night.

Gustavsson has been excellent for the Bruins this season in spelling starter Tuukka Rask. The Monster is 9-3-1 with just 31 goals against and a .917 save percentage on the season, which is accompanied by a .924 even-strength saver.
Jan 26 - 6:32 PM

The good times kept on rolling for Jonas Gustavsson.

The Monster made 31 saves with four coming in overtime, plus both shootout attempts to pick up the 3-2 shootout win over Columbus on Saturday night. Gustavsson is now 9-3-1 with a 31 goals against and a .917 save percentage.
Jan 23 - 11:04 PM

Jonas Gustavsson will face Columbus on Saturday night.

Gustavsson has been quite effective in spelling starter Tuukka Rask this season through 13 games. He's posted an 8-3-1 record with just 29 goals against and a .915 save percentage, and considering his opponent tonight, this could be a nice start to steal a win with.
Jan 23 - 6:35 PM

Jonas Gustavsson stopped 33 of 34 shots in Friday's 4-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres.

Gustavsson allowed the first goal of the game, but his team scored four unanswered goals. The 31-year-old has a 8-3-1 record with a 2.33 goals-against-average and a .915 save percentage this season.
Jan 15 - 10:10 PM

Jonas Gustavsson was the first goaltender off the ice following the Bruins' morning skate.

That suggests that Gustavsson will be Boston's starter Friday night. He has a 2.44 GAA and .909 save percentage in 12 contests in 2015-16.
Jan 15 - 12:21 PM

Jonas Gustavsson stopped 19 of 20 shots in Friday's 4-1 win over the New Jersey Devils.

The 31-year-old has won two of his last three starts, but the presence of Tuukka Rask makes him fantasy value very limited. Gustavsson has a 7-3-1 record with a 2.44 goals-against-average and a .909 save percentage this season.
