Defensemen Brian Strait and Matt Donovan will be healthy scratches on the blue line Monday night in Toronto.

Strait has appeared in 38 games for the Isles this season, registering two goals and four assists with 24 penalty minutes, but hasn’t dressed in a game since February 28th. Donovan has skated in just nine games this season but none since January 6th and has three assists. Neither player have any fantasy value.

Brian Strait, Matt Donovan, and Eric Boulton will be scratched against the Florida Panthers on Saturday night.

Unfortunately, none of these three players have much of any fantasy value. Strait has just six points, 24 PIMs, and 92 hits through 38 games this season. Donovan has played just eight games. And Boulton, who at age 38 has accumulated 1391 PIMs over 643 games in his career, has just one minor in five games with the Isles this season.

Unfortunately, there isn't much fantasy value here. Donovan has just nine games under his belt this season, and it's nearly the trade deadline. Strait has been playing a lot of late, bumping his total to 37. He has six points, 57 blocks, and 90 hits.

Brian Strait scored his first of the season on Saturday and chipped in with an assist.

Before you go and rush to pick him up off waivers, he doubled his point total to four with Saturday's outburst. He is also a minus-seven with 18 penalty minutes in 21 games for the Islanders.

Josh Bailey and Brian Strait will tag back in as Cal Clutterbuck Matt Donovan take a seat Friday night against the Devils.

Bailey has missed Tuesday's loss to the Canucks with a lower body injury. Only Clutterbuck has any fantasy value as he has 36 PIMs and 159 hits, which ranks third in the NHL through 38 games this season.

The Islanders will roll with the same lineup they had Tuesday night against the Canadiens, so Strait, Donovan, and Boulton will be hard luck scratches. The trio has combined for just five assists in 31 total games, so no fantasy relevance for any of them.

Brian Strait, Matt Donovan, and Eric Boulton will all be healthy scratches on Friday night against the Red Wings.

With Johnny Boychuk and Travis Hamonic making their return, Strait and Donovan will take a seat. Boulton meanwhile is an extra body, but like Strait and Donovan, has no fantasy value.

Brian Strait and Eric Boulton will be healthy scratches Monday versus the Devils.

Strait had played in 19 games on the blue line for the Isles this season, recording two assists and a minus eight rating, but will continue to give way to the youngster, Griffin Reinhart, Monday against New Jersey. Also scratched for the Islanders is tough-guy, Eric Boulton, who’s played in just four games on the season and has nothing to show for.

Brian Strait will be a healthy scratch against the Blackhawks on Saturday night.

Since reaching the NHL in 2010-11, Strait has appeared in just 97 games, all with the Islanders. Which is to say he lacks much fantasy value even in the deepest of pools.

Brian Strait will see just his 13th game of the season. He has just one point, an assist, on the season making him not much of a fantasy asset.

Brian Strait drew into the Islanders lineup on Saturday as Johnny Boychuk could not go.

Strait played alongside Nick Leddy and saw 17:55 minutes of action as he had a couple of minors and three hits. He is a depth defenseman with no fantasy value at this time.
