Chris Terry is hoping that he'll be able to make the jump to the NHL after another successful season in the minors.
Terry had 28 goals and 69 points in 70 AHL games in 2013-14. "I spent some good time down there and learned to be a complete player," Terry said. "I think the next step is to be that kind of player up here and be a full-time player in the NHL." It's unlikely that Terry will ever be the kind offensive threat in the NHL that he is in the minors. At this point, the 25-year-old is more of an organizational depth forward that might be called up on occasion when the team needs an injury replacement, but he'll still be worth keeping an eye on if he stands out in training camp. Chris Terry has a chance to make Carolina's 2010-11 opening day roster.

Terry was originally selected in the fifth round of the 2007 NHL entry draft, but he turned some heads when he broke out with 101 points in 68 OHL games in 2007-08. He put up similar numbers the following year in the OHL before being promoted to the AHL for the 2009-10 season. Although he was never called up to the NHL, he was a major contributor with the Albany River Rats, scoring 17 goals and 47 points in 80 games. He's been slowly gaining value as a prospect, but we wouldn't count on him having any fantasy value next season.
