Milan Kytnar has been returned to the minors.

He recorded one shot in 5:31 of ice time during his NHL debut Wednesday after being brought up from the ECHL on an emergency basis. Kytnar has been sent to the AHL's Oklahoma City Barons to replace Edmonton's latest call-up, Josh Green, instead of going back to the Stockton Thunder.

Milan Kytnar has been summoned from ECHL's Stockton Thunder on emergency recall.

The Oilers made the move with recent call-up Ryan O'Marra feeling under the weather, but they are hopeful that he will be able to play on Wednesday night against New Jersey.

The Edmonton Oilers signed prospect center Milan Kytnar to a three-year, entry-level deal on Sunday.

The club had until Monday to sign the young Slovakian or else he would have been put back into the NHL draft as an overage player. Kytnar was the Oilers' fifth round pick, 127th overall, in the 2007 draft. He recorded 27 goals and 64 points in 65 games with the Saskatoon Blades in the WHL this past season.
